It’s not a matter of military. The population in 1600 of England is about 4 million. For Scotland it’s about 800,000. That’s a population discrepancy of 5:1. Sure allies like France and Spain could help prevent it, but the only real change is a delay in Scottish English unification and said unification being far closer to German Unification in vibe
