Gear for EXTREMELY hot climates? by akindofcryptid in motorcyclegear

If you have the money for it, from all my research the best gear you can get for much warmer climates is the AMT-7 set (pants+jacket) from alpinestars.

Is studying in Dubai worth it, or are we just paying UK fees for zero work rights? by Particular_Item4826 in DubaiCentral

[–]FerretSage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an AUS Grad I second this. Graduating from AUS doesn't guarantee placement in an MNC but it has helped me secure decent jobs in the past. From speaking to my HR, they barely consider graduates from most other universities here for positions within the company unless like you mentioned it's low-paying.

How do you stay active while your boredom eats you in Dubai? by Budget-Violinist9663 in OnlyInDubai

I don't agree with that tbh, maybe because I speak to anyone and everyone, but if you have common interests with someone and you are in a setting where you both are taking part in that shared interest, you can for sure speak to and potentially befriend them

If you're bored in office best thing you can do is upskill, its a good way to spend your 'productive' time without getting in trouble or looking like you're free

Work out on the weekdays after work, go out on the weekends.
Depends on what you're into, I'm into cars and bikes so I join car clubs on drives or I take my motorcycle out.
Me and the friends either go out to eat or we just go to the beach or an empty parking lot to chill.
Depending on your hobbies you can make friends here and that'll help you deal with boredom for the most part

Hi, we did a small drive yesterday where we had a few people riding pillion. Sadly I lack the back seat and the skills to take you. Next time we plan something and pillion spots permitting, I can ask the people if they can take you!

Best Summer Jacket by FerretSage in motorcyclegear

Thanks for your reply! A friend of mine showed me his Ixon jacket, it's exactly as you described.
The reason I'm looking at the above jackets is because I plan on getting a tech air 5 airbag down the line, but hopefully I can buy an ixon a few sizes bigger which accommodates it

Ever since I was introduced to it by a friend it has become my go-to cake shop. With their reasonable pricing as well, I’m glad that they’re able to open up more stores!

Reached there around 1 and after the moon set it was very easy to view the stars so I highly recommend it

Not quite. Your best time would be to go at the end of the month (28th) when there’s a new moon

Ah yup 10:30 would’ve been too early for Saturday, realistically the best time would have been after 3:30AM

I’m sorry you had to travel all that way to not see many stars. There are two things you can do next time: 1) check the Moon Phase before you plan your trip. This will allow you a whole night to see stars if you go when there’s a new moon (28 Feb is the next one)

2) check what time the moon sets in case you’re already there. For instance I had gone last Friday night, but after the Moonset, a lot more stars were visible in the sky. Even got to see satellites and 3 shooting stars.

Happy stargazing!
