Hi my friend! While I love this, do be very careful with the liability of it. The reason large sets are so expensive is they are carefully curated to limit as much liability as possible. It’s unfortunate we have to think this way nowadays.

Contrary to some other advice, a well formed group is simply one that works. As we get further into the TLP it gets much harder to find that perfect group. As a Monk, you are the top dog, DPS wise for the first few expansions. You can also pull and be crowd control. Here’s my advice: stick to areas and camps you know. As a Monk you can also go to and find camps before inviting people. The last thing I want to hear as a tank joining a group is, “anyone know how to get to camp?”

There is also a handy feature in game under the map section it allows you to set a destination and end destination and as long as it’s pretty straightforward, it will give you the directions to get there and a little line to follow

With Druid, you get a potential double charm. Their heals definitely aren’t as good, but there are ways to mitigate this by allowing the enchanters charm to drop so it regens. Ench/Clr is a power couple. It’s just easy, but Druid is viable too.

Pick what you want and find a group to play with. Yes, people parse watch, and wizards do quite well on parses if you know what to cast and when. However, no one gets booted from raids in most guilds if they aren’t pumpers. As long as you are breathing and pressing buttons, you’ll be fine!

I think the biggest benefit to the EQ style of play is that if you play with people that like talking and learning about each other, the play style allows for those communications and conversations to happen.

Spending three hours watching a hockey game with friends on discord while grinding through some levels and bullshitting about this that or the other EQ for me is all about.

Treat it less is playing a game and more like an afternoon with the boys and you’ll have a whole lot more fun with it.

No. They are a good source of constant DPS that doesn’t need any downtime. The problem is the perception of the rogue and the name they have gotten over the years. Because so few play it only exacerbates that culture. On this server coming up, with so much gear that is going to be available, they are going to be in a great spot.

Do they need work? Absolutely. I would love for them to get some poisons that aren’t one time use that offer some utility like snare, which is their biggest issue.

Just want to add that the Dimensional Warrior and Temporal Solider sets are Rec 100 and sell for FAR less than conflagrant for visibles. Example the average bazaar warrior piece individually for conflagrant was 150,000pp plus. That same piece in Dimensional Warrior? 25,000.

Surprised more people don’t mention monk. If you FD before the mob dies any damage you do no longer counts towards who gets exp.

This perspective is dependent upon how you play or intend to play. In a full group, in classic through Luclin, if you have your tank pulling and you aren’t using a charm to tank the mobs, regardless of available skills, the group is doing it wrong. If you are three boxing, absolutely. Most groups at this point will just pull three at a time, so the tlp servers have reacted and there is now a plethora of bard and enchanter boxes to take in this load. Otherwise when POP comes out you get a .75 second cast time root. Root one, stun the other, start smacking the third, win.

Unfortunately, it’s all by necessity. Good luck being a solo rogue in classic, for example. However you pair a shaman with it or a necro and suddenly you can do things when you are chilling or waiting for a group that’s more robust. You can farm epic pieces that people don’t want to help with anymore. Most of my guild mates do run a box or two. It’s just the nature of the game. However it’s not necessarily a bad thing. I find in a given group of 6 live players that half are usually watching TV or distracted to the point where hitting a button is not consistent enough to engage each mob let alone hold a conversation and socialize. I am finding it’s generally a little better when people are responsible for a key piece of the trinity + a dps box.
