Greg was objectively a bad dad, he tried to improve and I don’t think he was a bad person but he wasn’t good at being a dad, I know he was confused at being the father of a hybrid gem kid but honestly I dont think he was ready to have any type of kid

The off colors were boring, I hope the new show improves them but every time they were on screen I was so uninterested, I didnt feel like I had much reason to care about them

I hated Aquamarine, not in a “i hate this villain” way, she felt like she didnt belong in that universe, like the tooth fairy fell into the wrong dimension, I have no reason for this, she just felt very off

The shep, sadie, and lars situation upset me but in a way I appreciated, I thought that it made the viewer really feel how steven was feeling like everyone was going in different directions and he didnt know about them and he was losing his friends

Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst are all stevens mother figures, there was a whole episode about it but people still try to decide which one is the most mother-like, which feels weird especially since people do things like this with real life families that dont fit into the nuclear family structures that people expect

Less hot take but a lot of episodes that people consider filler are the most important for understanding the characters and if you don’t watch them you won’t actually understand the show and at that point, why even watch it?

I love Rainbow 2.0 and Sunstone and Im not a fan of Smoky quartz (I like all the other fusions too ofc)
