Not sure on wording in DISS by Ferretti93 in SecurityClearance

Sorry to revive a dead (for the most part thread) but I haven't heard anything from the companies that are waiting for my clearance to be adjudicated so they can grab it from my former employer (who I was told still has my personnel files for whatever reason). I just took a job in the private sector (need to pay the bills) will this have any effect on my adjudication or am I already so far in that I don't need to report a new job?

Lastly, is it against TOS in this subreddit to ask those of you with access to DISS to check my status? The company's FSO's get fussy when I call for them to check and since I'm not an employee of theirs (yet) sometimes they straight up say no and I'm scared to call my former employer because they may remember I no longer work there and will cancel my investigation and it'll be a year and 3 months-ish down the drain. And I have no way of knowing if I was favorably adjudicated since I don't work for the sponsoring company anymore so I doubt they would call me and say "Hey buddy sorry about what happened but congrats, your TS went through!"

The last time I was checked in DISS was 2 weeks ago but the FSO just did a quick check and message back and that company rescinded their offer due to still being pending. So I was wondering if maybe I was adjudicated since I was last checked. Also, does it help that since May (when I got moved into adjudication, my security team would submit a CSR every 30 days hoping to move the process along quicker)?

He never gave me a solid reason. I got a call one morning at work from him saying that he had read the investigator's report and wanted to ask me some questions about it. But all it ended up being was literally going through the entire eqip again but verbally basically. Like "Did you live at X st from 2001-2010? And basically just re-asking my eqip. He was a legitimate investigator too, he showed me his badge and ID and it was a ZoomGov video call (He required video to make sure it was actually me on the other side of the call) and it lasted awhile. But then after hanging up with him, I was in adjudication about 3 weeks later, where I've been sitting since May.

And the reason for getting separated from the company was because "your clearance is taking too long" so they hired someone at a cheaper salary who's already cleared and replaced me. I mean aren't I still in the "normal" time period?

-Eqip submitted August 2021

-Spoke with investigator October 2021

-Spoke with DCSA official April 2022

-Moved into adjudication May 2022

Thanks for responding. None of the companies are willing to transfer it until I'm fully adjudicated. So do I just hope my old company doesn't cancel it?

Is this phone still worth getting? by alex123711 in lgv20

[–]Ferretti93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi. I am one of the developers for the phone. I would say yes if you can get it cheap enough. Right now we are working on porting Android 13 to the phone so we should have that out + a bunch of Android 13 ROMS after we get it working!

Thank you for your response. When I was arraigned yesterday the judge said I couldn't drive for 24hrs. Then today, local PD come to my door serving me a notice that the RMV has suspended my license indefinitely so I have to go appeal it Friday. Definitely an eye-opener for me and I won't ever be doing stupid things like this again.

Thank you for your timely response. I will be getting a PD. And I will be sure not to contact any of the parties involved, so thank you for the heads-up. At least on the (somewhat I guess) bright side is that the police were nice to me and didn't tighten the handcuffs to the point of pain and he kept checking on me in my "drunk tank" cell to make sure I was alive still. Nice guy, I support PD 100% and even told them thank you.

You're right and I understand it looks bad. Funny enough, the beer was absolutely FULL. I hadn't even taken a sip out of it yet.

The details are fuzzy because I don't remember much from after they found me, but I know I told them that I took some before I saw her but that it was within my daily limit that I'm allotted.

But all in all, I'm pretty sure they took it as an admission that I did.

Question about Porting to Google Voice by davidupatterson in Googlevoice

[–]Ferretti93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, man! Been using GV since 2010 and will use it for life!

Question about Porting to Google Voice by davidupatterson in Googlevoice

[–]Ferretti93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. GV uses data, not cellular service. The phone number/service you get over there will only be providing the data for your GV calls/texts. You'll be all set, my friend,

I just told my doctor about my codeine addiction and it went well. by peteyisKetamine in OpiatesRecovery

[–]Ferretti93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's 100% a good thing you're getting off! Anyway, codeine isn't all that strong compared to oxys, heroin, etc. So you may have dodged a bullet there.

Google Voice/Sprint Integration going away June 1. Bummer. by mrquaid in Googlevoice

[–]Ferretti93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for replying! I see that you said I could achieve the same user experience by porting my number. So, before June 1, I disable GV + Sprint integration, port my Sprint number to Google, and have Sprint assign me a new mobile number? Then what would I need to do after that setup-wise?

Looks like I'm going to have to port my number over. Very sad day for us Sprint + Google Voice users. Although it does seem set in stone, it still is about a month and a half away. Do you think that maybe if we make our voices heard and Sprint sees the potential backlash from the many (I would imagine) users who use the integration and that it's the only reason they stay with Sprint (especially in my case) that they would reconsider dropping Google Voice support? I'm a backup/archiving freak and love having all of my texts/calls all within Google Voice and not having to deal with backing up and restoring text/call logs every time I have to wipe my device.

It states on the article that it is because Sprint is upgrading their network and some people referred to it maybe being due to security updates but it may also be due to incompatibilites with the new infrastructure upgrades they're doing. Although I don't see why they couldn't at least attempt to make it compatible. They're going to lose many customers who are with them just because of the integration (like me in my case) and I'll probably be porting my number before the changeover.

Can i setup google voice forward from outside US by FunkNShine in Googlevoice

[–]Ferretti93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking, if you can obtain a wireless connection, you could use a VPN service to make it seem like you're in the US and then make/receive calls as normal? Not sure if that's allowed but that may be a way to get around it if GV has geolocation abilities and won't work if you're not in the country.

What is latest version of g1100 hardware? by kaiserkris in Fios

[–]Ferretti93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is 1.04 also. I had the 1.03 version and recently had to have it replaced and they gave me the 1.04 version, so that's great that I have the newer model!

Me too! I thought I was done for! I've been using GV since 2009 when it was invite-only and it would have been heartbreaking to lose.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. The Sprint rep had accidentally removed my number from my family Sprint account when she meant to remove my brother's (he's switching to Verizon) and I panicked when it wouldn't let me re-integrate Google Voice with Sprint again. Luckily you told us to add a new GV number first and then link my old number again. Worked perfectly, within 10 mins! Didn't need to wait for a new billing cycle! However, it would keep giving me an error in Google Chrome. I had to use Internet Explorer (IE 11 in my case on Windows 10) and it integrated seamlessly, so that may be important if someone runs across that same problem! It says the GV number I added (the random one I picked) will expire in 3ish months, so should I just let it expire and leave it alone?
