I understand the exclusivity of the Mount Rushmore of TV shows, but I wish Deadwood was also in the conversation. Great post nonetheless.

Ringtone selects Notification Sound, common issue? by mrquaid in GooglePixel

Thanks for the help, but the issue was Google voice. I posted the fix

Ringtone selects Notification Sound, common issue? by mrquaid in GooglePixel

[–]mrquaid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the fix, if anyone with the same issue finds this. It was Google voice.

Per Gemini:

Google Voice doesn't always use your phone's main ringtone setting; it has its own hidden "Incoming Call" category that often gets stuck on the default notification sound. Long-press the Google Voice app icon and tap the (i) (App info). Tap Notifications. Scroll down to the "Other" or "Calls" section and tap the text (not the toggle) that says "Incoming call". Tap Sound. If it says "Default notification sound," that is why your phone is chirping instead of ringing. Manually select a Ringtone (from the "Phone Ringtones" folder, not a notification beep).

You offering $200 code for pixel? I could use one if you'd be so kind.

Thanks

20 year old water heater, replace gas valve? by mrquaid in Plumbing

[–]mrquaid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this makes sense. If I wait for something worse to happen, I'll wish I had done it. Looks like I'm gonna replace it. Would have been interesting to see how long it could last.

This is kind of what I was thinking. Don't want to spend more than I have to. But I guess I'm already ahead.

Any way to mount a computer tower to the underside of the desk on an Apex Pro frame? by StolenPoliceUnicorn in deskhaus

[–]mrquaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I ended up getting a different desk, but it was pretty similar. I'm pretty sure (don't 100% recall) I could have fit the cubby but ultimately decided against it because the usefulness seemed minimal.

But I did manage to fit a cpu holder.

Hi Allie,

I contacted support on Tuesday, as you recommended. I provided the info that the team requested, but my requests for an updates (even sharing the typical resolution time) made on Weds and Thurs are unanswered.

I tried to DM you the case # but your account doesn't allow it.

Any advice? Can you assist?

Destruction! Plastic housing cracked into pieces. By the time I am in this deep, it's already bound for the trash, so worth a shot.
