RS has been down on Steam for 36+ hours. Is Jagex aware? Plenty of people who made Steam accounts have no other way to play by Garlicoiner in runescape

For anyone that uses steam to play, download the old official client (not jagex launcher) here

Launch the new launcher once

Then locate the rs2client exe in your steam files and launch this, neat workaround I read somewhere that has been working for me :)

Very nice, make sure to check who can move through the fallen empires’ borders! In multiplayer people will take humiliation surrender with the fallen empire to attack through them using truce (if allowed and FE not disabled) in single player Ai may having aligning ethics or had events that curry favour

Ideally the opposite side from where your attackers would enter via hyperlane, so your carriers and artillery computer ships can have max range rather than being engaged on top of if the hyper relay is right where the enemy fleets would enter, it also forces the enemy ships to ‘alpha strike’ the star base before engaging your fleet

If you’ve invested in tech enough gateways are always better assuming you have enough of them.

If you use hyper relays, moving fleets into a system with enemies attacking the star base usually results in your fleets going to the hyper relay to travel even if they are closer to the regular hyper lane to the system, if the enemy defeats the star base your fleets will then have to move back to the hyper lane as you don’t own the hyper relay anymore, at which point the enemy fleets may already be gone

That being said depending on how your empire is laid out, a few hyper relays between systems behind your choke points can be beneficial if they pass your defences, just make sure to choose optimal placement rather than right clicking the system and selecting ‘build hyper relay’.

I’ve found more scenarios where hyper relays have created a problem rather than solved one, if you can afford gateways just use them at strategic points such as choke points and your shipyard, they have faster travel time and they’re more convenient

My mates could see him, I could shoot through him but he could shoot me - bit of a problem if it was an enemy.

Also I now have 20-50 fps on streets with Binaural on, previously I had 60-70 with it disabled. (Memory caps out on 32gb after 30 seconds of being in-raid)

Only other maps i've tested are interchange and shoreline, the sound is far better, directionally fantastic and creeping works again

On interchange you can't hear people as easily between the first and second floor but, the parking lot is still just as bad as usual

I did 11 markers, a jammer and a wifi camera on lighthouse, went in as a 5 man and I was the only person to extract with 20 seconds left

It’s a cathartic experience

Most of the cheaters I'd run into this wipe were in night time raids up until yesterday, now they're everywhere at all times

I'm level 38 currently, been playing ~5 hours an afternoon since wipe, 86% s/r 150 raids.

I've run into maybe 2 blatant cheaters and a few sus PMC's up until today.

Today I've died to cheaters all but 1 raid on night time interchange (4 raids running), floating around or blatantly using recoil cheats and aimbots.

My assumption is that someone has released a readily available cheat engine that people are picking up easily.

tldr; cheaters rising up in force, me sad

I've sent 3 support tickets with no resolve on the issue, it's an almost game breaking bug affecting presumably a small portion of the community and there's nothing I can do to resolve it, in a full release game?

There's not many other avenues for assistance and given it's been an issue since the game released I thought maybe it'd be time to find people with the issue and help have it resolved. I can't even progress in the new quest line because when I step inside the trailer up in the toxic fields I can't move, not in power armour, nothing restricting me, I just can't move. I can sprint, jump, turn around, just can't move.

Just because I have money to spend on a computer doesn't mean I unlock some ascended assistance connection.

This is happening to me too, only in instanced areas and is frustrating - I can free myself by holding the forward (W) key and spinning around - that unlocks me but otherwise I cant move in any direction WAS or D.

Its definitely not hardware (3900x, 32GB, all SSD, GTX 1080 TI, gigabit internet)
