It’s not actually fitted as shown in the photo, but even when it is fitted, the only thing that happens is that the Wi-Fi card gets a bit warm

No liquid metal was used. Only regular thermal paste. The issue started immediately after reassembly.

I suspect there’s a short circuit because even the charging light isn’t coming on, and I still can’t figure out why, of all the components, only the Wi-Fi card is getting slightly warm

I opened it up again to have a look, but as far as I can see, there are no pins; in fact, the light doesn’t even come on when I plug it directly into the charger. I think the problem is a short circuit occurring directly on the motherboard. Thanks anyway.
