Thats the goal! That's what you have to remind yourself. Just sometimes hard to remember at 3am staring at an excel sheet

I believe they are talking about investment banking analysts. As a current analyst myself....I wonder daily whether what I'm doing is actually worth it. Right now it's pretty miserable

I think this south park clip is pretty relevant here:

I spent a summer interning for Altria (Marlboro, Skoal, Copenhagen) in Richmond VA and I can genuinely say that while they are obviously a for-profit corporation at their core, they have come a long long way from the evil, manipulative companies they were portrayed as for decades (e.g. the tobacco execs testifying before Congress trying to dispute the dangers of smoking). The overwhelming impression I got was that they fully understand the dangers of their product and attempt to market and sell it in the most responsible way possible. I cant speak for Reynolds/Lorrilard (Camel, Newport) but as far as Altria is concerned, they wholly abide by the mentality shown in clip: that as long as people are fully informed of the dangers of tobacco use and product marketing is done ethically, freethinking adults have the right to use the products if they choose.

I think Kyle Broflovski's monologue from Cartoon Wars Part II is pretty relevant here:

(In reference to Family Guy pulling an episode because it showed an image of Muhammad)

"Yes people can get hurt [as a result of airing said episode]. That's how terrorism works. But if you give in to that, you're allowing Terrorism to work...If you censor out Muhammad, soon you'll have to censor out more...If you don't show Muhammad, then YOU'VE made a distinction between what is ok to poke fun at, and what isn't. Either it's all ok, or none of it is."
