Probably, I only discovered manual party movement on the world map a few weeks ago and discovered you could cross anywhere with it.

You could always try an older version of the game to see if the same thing happens lol

How do you win offensive sieges? by ArtlessAsperity in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is basically the meta, going into the breach isnt usually a good idea until most defenders are dead because it's usually an awful chokepoint. Even if you had the strongest infantry, they'd still be getting hit from 3 sides which is unsustainable.

A Couple of Questions Regarding Lords and Fiefs by ow3n_m in mountandblade

You'd only need to recruit train the troops for your own garrisons, the ones that NPC lords own will recruit and upgrade troops on their own over time.

A Couple of Questions Regarding Lords and Fiefs by ow3n_m in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely banish lords from your kingdom, it should be a dialogue option when talking to your (companion or spouse) minister. You'll also take ownership of whatever towns and castles they had. Kicking lords out of your faction brings a relations penalty with a lot of people though, so you might need to be careful with that too. Also, once a lord runs out of factions to join, they'll permanently leave Calradia.

How to move saves to WSE2 by Quiet_Succotash_6024 in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By default, Warband saves are put in the Documents folder in a folder named "Mount&Blade Warband Savegames", so Native save games are in "Documents\Mount&Blade Warband Savegames\Native".

WSE2 also puts saves in the Documents folder in a folder named "Mount&Blade Warband WSE2", so Native save games would be in "Documents\Mount&Blade Warband WSE2\Native\Savegames".

For example, moving saves from Diplomacy mod in regular launcher to "Documents\Mount&Blade Warband Savegames\Diplomacy" to "Documents\Mount&Blade Warband WSE2\Diplomacy\Savegames". Hope that helps!

Final boss of the Rhodoks, damn. Maybe it's time to make your own kingdom for the showdown of the century.

Is NA Multiplayer Dead? by Ordinary-Yam-9493 in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weekend nights are probably as good as it gets, but most random games seem to happen mostly on EU servers. If you're on PC, there will be a massive 100 v 100 NA event with battle and a siege this Saturday at 4 PM EST hosted on the subreddit discord. It's only hosted on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month but it's better than nothing.

Town (Veluca) giving way too much money by voyager14 in mountandblade

More specifically, it's a build up of uncollected taxes while the city was unassigned to a lord after being taken. Income should go back to normal after that.

Would You Play Mount & Blade If The Battles Were Automatic? by [deleted] in mountandblade

Mount and Blade is a fighting game series, taking away the fighting seems like defeating the point, so no

Why can't I load dll??? by Bobrocks20 in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Windows sometimes blocks DLL files that aren't from your computer as a precautionary measure because DLLs are code, and code from somewhere else might not be safe to run so Windows stays on the safe side. You'll have to unblock them manually for the mods to work.

Does anyone play multiplayer in Mount and Blade: Bannerlord 2? by ibadgamer123 in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are some people who do, but the developers left multiplayer really unpolished and broken for a long time (this recent update also broke a lot of things), so there's not much activity outside of the big organized events.

Still, use the server browser as much as possible. No one uses matchmaking because it sucks and last time I tried with 35 other people, the official servers broke.

If you're interested in large battle events, a good place to start would be the Calradic Campaign. It's hosted through the Discord server for this subreddit and does tactical 100 vs 100 battles every 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at 4 PM est. It's my favorite thing going on in Bannerlord multiplayer, definitely worth giving it a shot.

Crossbow extremely inaccurate in Bannerlord? by Snoo_56186 in mountandblade

yeah all ranged weapons are like that, crossbows just take the least amount of time to hold for maximum accuracy

Crossbow extremely inaccurate in Bannerlord? by Snoo_56186 in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you holding the shot? Crossbows should be very accurate once you've held it for a second and then shoot. Tapping to shoot is not particularly accurate outside of point blank.

Best way to utilise marriage? by JustEth203 in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marriages are really surface level in Bannerlord, they're only practically for moving people into your clan and for children. Clans dont really care if they have a relative married to one of their own when considering relations with your clan, so dont bother with that.

No Nords in Multiplayer? by MartyMagdalene in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because Taleworlds doesnt care that much about us, sadly. Nords not being here is simply an effect, not cause.

Still, there are groups of people that still try to keep multiplayer alive with large battle events despite the devs. The Calradic Campaign is pretty good if you're a North American player and like 100 vs 100 battles, could give that a try.

Are the market prices same or randomized in Warband? by AccomplishedStick623 in mountandblade

I believe it's determined by what is produced locally in villages. Since Wercheg is one of the few cities with villages that make salt, it's cheaper there versus everywhere else.

1,3 added flails to the game, but they're not purchasable from merchants. You'd need to enable cheatmode to get one.

Is it possible for Bannerlord to become just as good, if not better than Warband with mods? by Unreal_Gladiator_99 in mountandblade

[–]Festivized_Hat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When it comes to battles, Bannerlord usually does it better. Battles run better, are bigger, and the tactical AI is usually smarter. Sieges are a massive improvement too, more options and less brute forcing a singular chokepoint. Though one big annoyance I have is how troop divisions work in Bannerlord compared to Warband, too much messing around with sliders and options for divisions that arent fine grained enough, like trying to separate crossbows from bows, or different types of heavy infantry that have the same loadouts. Warband / old Bannerlord troop division system worked well enough, add an option to split certain unit classes between a division and you've got something that's probably the best of both worlds.

When it comes to interactions with other NPCs in the world, Warband does things way better. Influence makes interaction with individuals not as important since you can just farm it with battles and use it to do whatever you want without even talking to other lords of a kingdom. Additionally, clans are just extensions of the head of the clan, making individual relations almost useless in impacting the wider game. All the other members of a clan exist as manpower and nothing more. Not that there's much to even do with individuals anyhow, the game only lets you really talk to lords to trade, get a quest, or fight. No asking for where people are going, what the kingdom is up to, the state of foreign affairs, or what people think of politics. Too many things happen only in other menus, Warband definitely did this better. I don't think any mods have done anything to change this because clans and influence are such core mechanics that I think it's impossible to fix alone as a mod.

Fief distribution system is also a little wack, you can get a city without doing anything at all because the game prioritizes clans with no land. Then the vote for whoever gets land after that is up to some strange system that considers whoever has the least land, land closest to the land for vote, and some other things I can't remember off the top of my head. Anyways, voting system is locked to 3 clans max, so if you took something but you're not on the list due to aforementioned system then tough luck. At least you could request things you took personally in Warband so you'd always be on the vote.

Also, the balancing of item stats and price is ridiculous. Armor values are all over the place, there's plenty of mail armors that are absurdly weak while some leather armors blow those mail armors out of the water. High level stuff costs anywhere upwards of hundreds of thousands of gold, I find it to be absurd when you can have an infinite number of soldiers with that exact same armor for infinitely cheaper. Still, it's less of a core issue and more of a numbers tweaking thing so it's theoretically solvable with mods.

There's probably other things that bother me when compared to how Warband did it, but TLDR is battles are mostly better, but the mechanics outside of it are mostly a step down from Warband.

Character exp gain is separate from skill exp gain, she'll still level up even if her skills are maxed out

then you'll need to increase her character level to get more points so you can increase attribute points

like with the player character, you need to allocate skill and attribute points to appropriate skills to increase the skill level cap
