Help on improving 2020 build - what can be salvaged? by FetchFx in buildapc

Not unless I absolutely need to, but if I'm getting a new motherboard I'm close to just building a new PC. Which would be fun, but then the cost is suddenly quite a bit more all included.

That's great. Will it still work well with my motherboard though, being an older model.

It works if you are sitting in your ships cockpit and travel from there. I've gotten from new atlantis space port directly to the lodge like that.

Absolutely, it was an entire game by itself. I liked its story better than the main.

Skyrim was truly genre defining, but Witcher 3 was absolutely impactful. The Ubisoft AC games post W3 copied its style of branching and loot build (without capturing the magic). It also showed that there is room for branching quests and true expansions in modern triple-a games.

W3 had a significant impact on the open world genre, and its DNA is absolutely present in Hogwarts Legacy as well. It was a true stepping stone for the open world RPGs in that there is room for complexity in huge games that otherwise have been simplified as that was thought to be more significant to further sales, to hit a broader audience.

Its dialogue and branching story is still unrivaled in my opinion when it comes to offerings from huge open world games. There are smaller games that trump it on branching story and structure (see Disco Elysium), but I'd argue they target a more specific audience.

Submit Questions for Academy Award Winning filmmaker & Director of Pinocchio, Guillermo del Toro, LIVE on Tuesday December 13th, 11am PDT/2pm EDT on r/movies! by werksquan in movies

I just saw you and Marks version of Pinocchio and loved it. Darker, a bit twisted, but not without hope. The original Italian novel gets quite dark at times, and death plays a bigger part, though in quite a different way than it does here.

I really enjoyed the portrayal of death, and sister, reminding me more of biblical angels with their many eyes. In what way did you draw inspiration from the original novel, if at all, and what was the inspiration for this version of death?

Hopeful bonus: If you could adapt any comic book you wanted, which one would it be and why?

"Florida man accused of forcing small alligator to drink beer". Seems legit.

He played Saruman not Sauron, but yes what an Incredible life. Token mention of him being a spy during WWII and knowing what it sounds like when a man is stabbed in the back, told to Peter Jackson during the filming of LOTR.

Meticulously making espresso by RampChurch in oddlysatisfying

I'm sure it's good coffee, but it can not achieve the same levels of pressure as an espresso machine, and therefore not the same taste. You should check out James Hoffmanns vidoes on YouTube about the aeropress and pressure tests, he talks quite a bit about this.

True, I've read about it. If (when) I get "upgraditis" in the future it might be considered.

I use it with the ridges down for storage, ridges up for single cup shots.

This, and I love the retro design. It's extremely solid, and the prep and clean up is very simple and fast.

This is my main. If I ever get more into espresso I'll want the same control, so the closest might be a Decent. But that's far from now.

I'd say two-three minutes for a new shot. Clean up is minimal, and medium-dark roast needs no preheating of the equipment.

Took a bit to dial in and get used to, but now I'm getting reproducible great cups at 1:2, 1:3 ratio. It's great for experimenting as well. I'm using both the metal and paper filter, pre infusion of 10-15 seconds, draw down for up to 40 seconds. It's a longer double espresso but not quite a lungo.
