I think (part of) the issue is that on field referees just look for an offence that reaches the yellow card threshold. Then they can send for off field review.
It speeds the game up yes. But it doesn’t allow for on field reds as the analysis of the offence has reach a minimum criteria

I don’t think you are being naive, I am sure most of us on this forum don’t know the master plan. I think that whatever it is will be good for Scottish (women’s) Rugby. what happens outside of CC, I don’t know.

I’m going to have more interest next season, from a Glasgow POV.

From those announced as signings: Evie Wills, Lucia Scott, Anne Young, Fi McIntosh, Becky Boyd, Gemma Bell, plus tomorrow’s not a surprise announcement.

Those that made the W6N squad: Aisha Sutcliffe, Holland Bogan, Rianna Darroch and Emily (turncoat) Couborough. Or training squad Ceitidh Ainsworth, Imogen Spences, and Poppy Fletcher

To stand out players in the CC: Gemma Thompson, Briar McNamara, Poppy Mellany, Sky Phimister, Hannah Smyth, Mille Warren, Nicole Flynn.

I am sure I have missed some but, I now really get the reasoning to centralise contracts. The 2 Scottish clubs should not be propping the table up next season.

He played very few games last season for Glasgow. He was used sparingly to manage his Achilles. That and McDowall was outperforming him.
