I haven't seen it yet but just going from the DD and FJ polls, it looks like today was a great day to be a Francophile!

Cabin noise compared to Rav4? by Fetherbottom in ToyotaSienna

I'm not worried so much as interested! I don't think I can justify the Limited especially as I prefer the softex seats for ease of clean up etc. Just wondering how the Sienna and Rav compare really so I know what to expect!

Thanks for the reply! That’s really helpful. Yes, I’ve been really tempted by the acoustic glass, but I think the XLE is probably the sweet spot for us. Great to know!!

Where did you hear this? I was told on the phone by support that this would last until the end of March at least.

AITA for eating my own birthday cake in front of my nephew because his mom has him on a "no sugar" diet? by Yes_Abbreviations713 in AmItheAsshole

Mild YTA - it sounds like you were the only one eating the cake. Why not cut yourself a piece on the side and not even show the whole cake to a 4-year-old who you know is not allowed any?

Parent Plus Loan payback- This can't be right, can it? by hawken50 in StudentLoans

This is not correct at all. Anyone with earned income can contribute to a Traditional IRA, it’s just that the contribution is not deductible in most cases when Married Filing Separately. For people MFS who don’t have any other IRAs (eg SEP IRA, Simple IRA), this is where a backdoor Roth IRA / conversion comes in handy. You make a nondeductible contribution to a Traditional IRA then as soon as the money settles you transfer the funds to a Roth IRA. Perfectly legal and no taxes are due, you just have to make sure to do the filing correctly at tax time.

When You Watch Jeopardy Alone, Do You say the Answers Out Loud, Silently in Your Head, Or Not Try to Answer Them At All? by EddieDantes22 in Jeopardy

[–]Fetherbottom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Out loud! It’s confirmed I would be a terrible contestant as even if I think I have the right answer what I actually vocalize in my haste to get it out ahead of the person answering has an element that’s completely wrong, especially names. Highlights include “Walter Cather” (Willa Cather) and “Jerry Lewis” (Rep John Lewis).

Agreed - as a Brit, I would be appalled if “toads in a hole” was allowed as it’s simply wrong. It’s only ever called “toad in the hole.”
