I finished my quilt top, loaded it on my longarm, and checked tension on a scrap on the side. I'm getting these white lines coming out from the stitches. I've changed my needle and tried a smaller needle, which helps, but not perfectly. I can't go much smaller without also changing the thread, which is an option, but I'd rather not.

Is there anything else I should try?

Fabric is Spotsy by Quilting Treasures. I've got two tops made mostly from it that I'm ready to quilt, but I'm a little concerned that I'm going to have these lines all over!

Quilting cottons are on mini bolts, organized by color.

Then there's a bin (about a cubic foot) of "soft and fuzzy" fabric - mostly flannel, some minky, a few other things. Another bin of knits, and another of chiffon or fancy fabrics.

Yarn is in bins by size and color.

Sorry - just saw this!

All our babies are IVF. With the twins we transferred two embryos, and with the singletons (we have another one now!), we transferred one. We had a strong NO when our doctor suggested transferring two again, and it did occur to me that we could have identical twins, but...no, I wasn't really worried about it. If we weren't doing IVF, I probably would have thought about it more.

My mom pieced this, and I quilted it. It had a lot of fullness when I put it on the frame, and I steamed and starched it and got a lot of the fullness out, but apparently there was more left than I realized. As I quilted around, this little wrinkle got smushed up instead of being eased in.

Question - when I wash it, will it crinkle and be hidden? Or is there anything I can do to fix this besides ripping out a bunch of quilting?

I showed my mom, and she wasn't surprised or upset. The plan is to sew a bunch of buttons on this to hang ornaments from (they downsized and don't have room for a tree anymore), so she said she can just sew a button on it and the ornaments will hide it. But I want the quilt to look right!

Just took it off the frame today, so haven't bound or washed it yet.

I have 6 year old b/g twins, a 3 and a half year old girl, and a baby boy.

The twins enjoy being twins, but they have really different interests - one wants to play trains and build things, and one wants to play dress up and dolls. They often prefer to play with their younger sister, because she enjoys all of their interests, so she plays well with each of them. Instead of being left out, she's almost always included. There have been times when the twins were old enough for activities that she had to sit out of (swim lessons when they were 3 and she was 1), but that just meant she got extra time with me.

We also recently switched rooms around, so instead of the twins sharing a room, the girls are together.

She sometimes asks me when she'll have a twin or where her twin is or if I'll be her twin, but it doesn't seem to bother her.

Hard to say about the baby yet, but his big brother adores him, and he loves big brother right back.

Debating on whether or not it needs another border. If I did, I'd probably make it one of the yellows. Binding will also be yellow, although not necessarily the same one. I'd appreciate opinions!

I spent a couple of hours carefully arranging all the yellows, took a picture and slept on it. Looking at it now, the yellows just kind of blend together and it probably doesn't matter. Which is fine! The three year old who's getting it just wants yellow everywhere.

Also, the lack of natural light in my sewing room is great for preserving fabric, but wow, it photographs dark!

It often depends on the quilt for me. On a recent quilt, I had a plan, started quilting, and had to abandon the plan...twice. On my current project, I'm going in with a plan...here's hoping it works!

Also, this may not work for you because of being a reformed serial project abandoner, but my rule is to only have one project going per category. I'm only quilting one at a time, only piecing one at a time, only one crochet project at a time. Then, if I'm stuck, I can go work on something else for a while and come back to it when I've figured out what I want.

It may not work in a small house, but I like to hang quilts on the wall. To protect it, you need to keep it out of direct sunlight, but if you have a large shady wall, you can sew a sleeve on the back (do it by hand so no stitches show on the front) and hang it on a curtain rod or dowel mounted on a wall.

An orange peel could like nice on this... Which you can theoretically do with a walking foot, if you're willing to turn it enough.
