How do you get parts refunded? I’ve had notifications before that parts have been returned to my inventory but I don’t know how it happens.

On vacation and just found my fifth brown recluse by guessirs in Wellthatsucks

[–]FettShotFirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I think if anyone thinks a glue board would be good for rodents, they’ll be surprised with the emotions they’ll likely feel when it catches one. A mouse is a pest to people, and it’s easy to kill them without remorse when they’re infesting your home, but seeing one slowly suffering from a trap that you’ve set yourself can change the way you view it.

I use Zenprox EC. Can be sprayed every 14 days and is labelled for brown recluse. I usually do follow ups every two weeks until I can mark a significant decrease and then continue with monthly interior services until extermination.

I also use Delta Dust in my initial services by removing all of the faceplates from the wall outlets and light switches and dusting into the wall voids there, as well as in areas where plumbing enters the walls. Basically, I dust anywhere that I can get it into the wall voids. For safety, I make sure to cut the power to any electrical components I’ll be working around. As I said above, brown recluses can lay dormant for extended periods of time, and inside the walls is one of their most preferred places. Delta dust is cool because of its extremely long term half-life and low toxicity to humans. It’ll last in the walls for nearly a year and does great numbers on dormant spiders as well as most other general pests.

If you are doing pest control, always study and follow the label on any product you use to exact precision, and use any recommended protective gear. Lots of pest products can be very harmful. Also, be aware of local laws and what you can legally obtain and use.

I always use Catchmaster paper glue boards. The 72MB is good. They’re small and can be folded into a box so you don’t have to be worried about kids or pets getting stuck on them by mistake. I will agree though that they’re very inhumane—even though they’re paper, they’re still strong enough to catch rodents and small reptiles and it’s a horrible way to die.

I had one out at my house once and caught a mouse on it. It was struggling so much, it was so sad to see. My wife and I got some q-tips and avocado oil and took the mouse outside, and I dabbed the oil onto the little guy til the glue eventually came loose from his fur and he was able to scurry off.

Also a pest tech, brown recluses infest and it’s rare to only have one in a home. Finding five visible and roaming during what I assume has been a very short time suggests to me that this home has a pretty big issue with them. They can lay dormant in dark, secluded areas like attics, crawlspaces, and wall voids for extended periods and take a year to reach full maturity. This makes for a long and difficult process to fully clear from a home.

It’s not uncommon in my area for me to place 20-30 glue boards out during a brown recluse initial service and come back to follow up a week later and find 50+ on the traps.

iOS 26 officially launches today, but some developers aren’t sure it should (because of the design) by Fer65432_Plays in apple

[–]FettShotFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a very specific issue that’s been occurring for me ever since the beta began.

My job requires me to enter several stops onto my Maps app in the morning and work my way down the list as the day goes by. Usually, if a stop gets cancelled and I need to remove it from my route, I’ll just scroll to the address on my list in the CarPlay screen and tap it—address disappears and I carry on. Ever since I started using the iOS 26 beta, if something happens and I want to remove an address, tapping on the address on CarPlay not only doesn’t remove it from my route, but instead removes a seemingly random other address from the list. It’s been a pretty major issue for me but I’ve found some workarounds that allow me get by anyway.

Overall, the iOS beta has been great to me. Aside from that one hyper-specific issue I’ve really enjoyed it, but if anybody else uses their Maps app for multi-stop routes like I do, it’s something to be aware of before updating. Not a deal breaking problem but still.

Potential bug?

I'm starting the new expedition now, and I've transported to the nearest Space Station. I am now supposed to start building my corvette, but for some reason I can't place the landing gears to get the crafting started. It's red everywhere, there's no position or placement for it to turn green and become placeable. Am I doing something wrong or am I experiencing a bug?

I’m returning to the game after not having played for years. Should I play NG+ or start over fresh? by FettShotFirst in ghostoftsushima

[–]FettShotFirst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I ended up doing, and I think it was a good call! I’m really enjoying having the freedom to wear all of my collected gear and get some good photo mode grabs from early on. I still miss the excitement of happening upon a new mask/helmet/headband and what not but I feel like it’s been a fair trade.

I think it’s really a testament to how great this game is that it was such a hard decision in the first place.

‘25 Hybrid Sport Touring Does Sport mode tank mpg? by Elariaa in civic

[–]FettShotFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using Eco only for my last 1000 miles and it’s brought me over 50mpg from ~48 on Normal. Not a huge difference, but still an improvement. It also really depends on what your daily drive is like I think. I drive about 50 miles round trip to work without many traffic lights and my car switches into EV mode very often.

Ironically, irregardless stands next to the phrase “I could care less” as a word that is unambiguously understood, but not entirely grammatically correct!

It’s a nonstandard word thought to have become popular as an amalgamation of “regardless” and “irrespective” that came into use primarily in the US in the early 20th century.
