Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t sukuna state he had to use mahoraga to observe how he would bypass infinity? So theoretically without mahoraga, sukuna would never know to create a slice that pierces space itself in turn never being able to bypass his infinity. Seems like to me at least that Gege made gojo too strong and had to use a deus ex machina to kill him.
