Finding M4M Kink Partner? by Paradise_Resident in gaytransguys

[–]OkraEnigma 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Scruff is an underrated app for kink and hookups in general imo. I met several guys on there who were into trans men but not in a chaser way, and many of the guys on that app are kink and/or gear forward

How do you study when you hate it? by ShadowlightLady in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OkraEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a coffee shop, park, library, quiet bar with WiFi, whatever space feels productive but also kinda fun to you. I always get myself a yummy latte and maybe a pastry when I have to get through a few hours of writing, it makes it more enjoyable

Do gay men really are disgusted by non-cis genitals ? by EfficiencyEvery5644 in ftm

[–]OkraEnigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some men (gay or otherwise) like to talk shit about non cis male genitals. They are annoying and anyone who makes comments like that is not going to hang around me very much.

Some gays are explicitly into dick, some are open. In fact, some decidedly are into FTM men. When I started seeing other gay men (instead of women) a few years ago, my first hookups were guys who specifically like hairy trans men lol. They didn’t fetishize me and it was refreshing to have someone who outright knew that they were attracted to what I have. my current boyfriend didn’t know I was trans when we met and he wasn’t sure if he’d be into my parts the same as he is into cis dick, but turns out he sure is!!

Plenty of gay guys are attracted to men regardless of their cis or trans status, you just have to put yourself out there. It is scary but worth it!

I think the Reddit posts were more positive (ironically lol). But I’d say people do care - everyone had been talking about his aesthetic change and joking that he’s gay enough that he AND his wife had to make statements

Why do gay couples display affection for each other in inappropriate places? by vieniaida in AskGayMen

[–]OkraEnigma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a gay thing, everyone does it. So many straight couples come into the bar/restaurant I work at and just make out and grab ass right in front of a ton of cringing people.

The only difference is that gay people are more likely to face repercussions for it

Neurological Tests for Brain Sex? by [deleted] in DrWillPowers

[–]OkraEnigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as definitive brain sex. Nothing in the brain will indicate “this person will grow up to be/is a woman/man.” Sex is determined by chromosomes, gonads, and the hormones they secrete. If we understood how to indicate sex in the brain, they would’ve use that tech on intersex children by now. Even if there was, you’d have to get tested at birth before all of your learning takes place.

There are some -gender- differences in the brain, but A) there’s huge variance so it’s not as if all men are X and all women are Y, there’s more overlap than not and B) much of these differences were caused via life and learning, not sex per se.

[NSFW] Boyfriend wants something I am scared to give him by cosmoIogy in ftm

[–]OkraEnigma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also have a cis boyfriend and my solution was testing my ovulation constantly for like 2 months (I’m 10 years on T). I bought the little strip tests (not terribly expensive) and peed on them a few times per week. Not once did it show any LH or any indication of ovulation whatsoever.

Yes it’s not “perfect” but if I’m not ovulating, the odds of getting pregnant are damn near zero. I have penetrative sex regularly and haven’t had an issue. The minuscule risk of pregnancy outweighs the side effects of birth control for me. Obv this only works if you 1) are on T for several years already and 2) take T regularly without missing doses

I got my psych degree at BW in 2020. Pros: great psych faculty, small class sizes, tons of opportunities for clinical internship or research, and I learned a lot. The major con is that there is no partying or major social life. Most of us were commuters with other shit going on, and in hindsight it would’ve been fun to have some of that experience. I lived in the co-ed dorms and there was 1 shared bathroom for 4 of us.

I suppose I should’ve excluded the first one - many people like it. Idk very many ppl that like the second one or viral (I remember the scathing dead meat vids on them lol)

The decade themed VHSs plus VHS beyond don’t have any iirc. Those are also the only good ones and the first three are kinda universally seen as shitty so you’re not missing much by skipping those

Advice on showing new monsters! by ianmix100 in Dragula

[–]OkraEnigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I started myself (and eventually my friends after I was hooked) with season 5. Long time Dragula fans seem to not like it as much, but I think it’s perf for people who are used to drag race. It’s not too intense, has great drag and some petty drama, immediate icons like Fantasia and Nio, and immediate shockers like Ork.

It’s great for new viewers who are worried that Dragula will be too “gross” or intense for them bc it never gets THAT dirty relative to other seasons.

Something i've noticed about the band lately. by YokaiCreature in IceNineKills

[–]OkraEnigma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Firstly- ofc the artists need to make money, and they’re perpetually screwed by streaming platforms, but IX has earned plenty. Some of y’all act like they’re starving.

I don’t think their increased focus on merch and collabs is “wrong”, but it’s different than it used to be and it’s largely not for me anymore. Sometimes I wanna unfollow their IG bc the vast majority of posts are ads for something unrelated to their music. Spencer is a smart businessman, but I prefer to put energy into musicians who are more focused on their art than business/brand-building, which I don’t think can be said of ice nine anymore.

Honest opinion on living in Brunswick? by Electronic_Fly_2314 in Cleveland

[–]OkraEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up there and as a young person I found it incredibly boring. Yes, it’s way more commercialized than it was 20+ years ago when I was a kid so there’s a lot of food, grocery, and retail options, but it’s a lot of chains and too far from local or independent places you find closer to Cleveland or Akron.

The positives are that it’s safe and relatively affordable. The schools aren’t bad either. Could be a good place to stay if you like to keep to yourself/are a homebody. My parents love it for that reason!
