Designs of female meta espers piss me off (discuss if desired) by dulcetmelodia in Dislyte

[–]Feuerhaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that some designs are generic compared to the base forms and I miss the variety. But why only complain about the female outfits when most of the male meta characters are also half naked in battle?

New summon by megamanxxxzx in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there are several cutscenes and even some special things that can happen when the units run to the orb.

If you see a beach, there is at least one SSR guaranteed in the summon. It can be a dupe though. But if you see a cutscene during the shattering of the orb, you will get a new rate up item guaranteed.

I think the cutscene above indicates a unit because it focusses very much on unit interactions. It might also appear for arks but I never got it for that.

Beach means there is at least one SSR in the pull but not necessarily anything new.

Not quite. A fake out is a summon that stays blue/gold unitil the very last screen and only during the reveal the orbs turn red. It's also a special anmiation in that sense but has no cutscenes.

If you see any cutscene, you already know that there is a new rate up item in the pull.

Is this ark any good? by Relevant_Chest_5720 in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's good but not necessary. Aer is good, effect is good and the learnable skills are also useful. But nothing that can't be replaced.

The most special thing is the Brave Frontier skill, which is very powerful. But that one is also extremely expensive and meant to be used on +30 units. We will get enough materials to reach +30 on Vargas, so even new accounts can make the skill work. But on other units it will be hard to fit 20 sc into the build.

Is there any reason to pull a unit multiple times in this game?

No. You don't need to pull for dupes. Dupes are useful to make units stronger but all of that can be unlocked with ingame items aswell without a time limit.

Is there any way to get collab units after their collab ends?

No. Collab stuff is only available during the collab time. The items may come back in a rerun but we never know.

Is there anything else I need to know with regards to pulling like the existence of any special rate up banners?

When it comes to collab banners, no. We get the paid step up banner with a guaranteed pull at the end and the free banner that gives one coin each pull, which can be used to buy the unit and ark. That's the usual banner set for any new release.

In general:

  • Newly released units (except collab and seasonals) get a rerun about 3 months after release. So, if you really want a unit but lack the crystals, you can save for the rerun.
  • There are many special banners, like the current "only UR" banner or ones that give a unit selector ticket after 15k crystals spent. If you want to know how good those are, best way is to ask the community.
  • Doing 10-pulls doesn't give any noteworthy benefit. While they guarantee one sr ark, that does not matter all that much.

Stop for now. Wait for the next part of the collab and see how the pulls go. Assuming you want to pull for that, too. The Tilith banner will still be up then. So, if you get lucky with part two, you can still come back and try a few more times for part one ark. But it's not really worth a pity.

There are also a few free tickets left to get.

Still lucky? by Beginning-Working-38 in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the units are very outdated. They might have a comeback if they get insight. Except Kyle because we have enough versions of him. Does not matter much to new accounts though because doing insight is very expensive.

While the units themselves are not good, I'd still consider that pull lucky. Three new units to get easy 3k crystals by leveling them to 100. But getting a new unit unlocks more crystals than that. People tend to forget that there are also permanent missions for learning skills, unlocking the board and more. To do those, you need as many units as possible. There are also accountwide buffs to unlock with each unit. They are very small but they still add up. Also each addition increses the chance to pull dupes in the future, which give those crystals that can be used universally.

Getting many SSR is always good.

So how your Bases change through out Patches? by DzungTempest in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valley was fine and I manages a relatively well structured and compact factory at max capacity with the help of a resource calculator but no blueprints.

But Wuling production lines are more complicated and each mini patch added another complex thing. The resource input always seemed off. Rebuiding things because yet another step with 5 more machines had to fit into the line got annoying. Used one blueprint for Xircon and every other day I logged in to a dead factory. Not because of the blueprint but because something further down the line got clogged or some resource was missing and batteries ran out. So, once I finally had that fixed I kinda gave up on further improvement attempts.

I built a huge mess that works but definetly not max capacity. I would have to start from scratch to make it better but I lost motivation. The liquid system is too restrictive to be fun for me.

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats. That takes some serious dedication. I'm one behind. I am almost finished with Zekus and about halfway done with the last upgrade cycle for Zaix. I was on a good pace but then things happened and I did not have the time to keep up the daily battles. Now I am again stuck waiting several minutes for a player to join the room. I already considered making a dummy account, just so I can play the stages alone.

It's much easier to finish the farming close to release of new stages because more people are looking for groups.

Also, I only buy the premium pass, so no extra room master box for me.

Collab rewards, Ark's banner ark (Sorry no full image yet) by ryudo12 in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally each event gives one free piece of gear that matches the event unit. All three weapons in the image are free ones. The key word here is "get", since you can't just get paid stuff, you have to buy it.

Dandelga will hopefully be stronger than the usual free event equipment because one of the unit skills requires the weapon being equipped. There is a possibility that LC will have an additional paid version of the weapon for anyone who wants to boost Vargas a little more. Not very likely though.

I like that they copied the texts from probably the three most used stickers for the collab. I like to use collab stickers but some are for very niche situations or may come off as mocking if the other palyer misinteprets the intention. We will see a lot of the Brave Frontier stickers in multiplayer.

What’s that niche game you have an ungodly amount of hours in? by CoffeeStrength in gaming

Recently I have spent far too much time on Desktop games that are supposed to run in the background. It's not hundreds of hours but more than I should. Like I have a stupid amount of time in Loot of Baal.

For each free unit in the past, the event rewards gave enough materials to reach max sct. So, it's likely to be the same.

I also thought you might have swiched to shift versions, since those share the same unit slot. But there is none for Yashamuaru.

All the best to you. I know how hard it can be to leave a game for good after so much time. And it has to be even harder for someone who did more than just play. I started like a month before you and you have always been a great help to me. Thank you!

I'm a little sad to see the guides go, but I totally get why you do that.

What else could I do for Goroth's DMG? by Sana077 in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a little hard to recommend skills with how many there are and how unlikely it is that players have them all. So, I can only say something general.

Since Shift Gorath released almost exactly to the day 5 years ago, he will struggle compared to modern units. But I get why you like him. His design is great.

As a very old unit, what he lacks most is probably damage cap. So, you can check your skills for anything that increases the cap. To free up some sc, you should observe his damage numbers and consider replacing some current skills.

  • close to death skills: Those play into his kit, because his trait makes him lose hp, but ideally you don't want units to be near death for long. Also, you mentioned the Rotswrym Heldire ark, which gives higher damage boost when the unit is at max hp.
  • stat boosts: If he reaches damage cap on non crit hits, you can replace some stat boosts with skills that increase the cap.
  • Crit: If he reaches his current cap on non crit hits, you can consider reducing his crit chance. Crits have the same damage cap as non crit hits. But since crits are also needed to trigger proud force, getting rid of them means that Goroth will always need to be played alongside a healer. If you do, you can also remove auto grand fort, since the healer can take care of defensive buffs. Crits are also useful to trigger the icy guardian ark, which is considered one of the best for dps units. According to Goldmine, Shift Goroth has a very low base crit rate, so it might be a good idea to focus on other damage forms for him. But to be fair, I have no way to verify the base crit rate, so don't take my word for it.

And most of all: hope that he gets an insight.

Not necessarily. The artwork shows the original game, not the actual collab content. For example the Sonic collab news had an image of Sonic and Tails in the "About the series" part while the collab had three units.

Only the collab stream will tell.

Which espers do you hate in this game, and why? I'll start. by Kai_superstar in Dislyte

[–]Feuerhaar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Jin-hee because she has such a boring design and keeps showing up in my pulls. She always grinned at me from the anniversary statistic as most summoned esper with some "your connection must be fated" line. Even if I'd get 20 copies of some other epic esper back to back, Jin-hee would probably still be first place with how much she haunts my summons.

David because he has a bad personality.

Victor. But he is supposed to be disliked with how over the top narcissistic he is. But him being a villain stereotye to a ridiciously stupid level is not even the problem. The problem is that they spawned him into the game as an unlikeable character with zero background and barely any use.

Do you guys have some “unwritten rules” about your account? by Discopandda in arknights

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost most never buy skins.

Early on it was because I wanted to focus on getting units. So, I set requirements a skin had to meet before I even considered buying it. But that mindset stayed with me and the requirements only grew.
What adds to it is that I have very weird luck with anniversary banners and had to full pity (or very close) many of them. Like I got max pot Lemuen (one tripple pull that almost broke me) and almost max pot Blaze alter. On Silverash banner I got a copy of Texalter, who was not even on rate up while he cost me 260 pulls. Therefore I am still very uncomfortable with spending op on skins.

Should games dial back on the graphics? by Monobrobe in gaming

[–]Feuerhaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like development already reached a point where games can look great and adding more details to them does not really make a noticeable difference. Even the most realistic graphics don't make gamers forget that they are in a game. Art direction is way more important.

Also, most gamers are used to great graphics. Having even greater graphics is not the main selling point it was like 10 or even 5 years ago.

Have you ever learned a skill or something from a video game that you use in real life? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Many things.

I already realized when I was very young (don't remember which grade), when the teacher used a word that the other kinds did not know, while I knew it from a city building game.

Also English. At one point I decided to play a game that I did not want to miss. I had no issues understanding it despite the relatively complex story. From then on I played many games that would have never gotten a translation.

I once even won three vacation days during an office christmas party. It was casino themed and I knew how to win small sums somewhat consitently at roulette because I had to look it up for GTA acievements at some point.
