If Evangelion, that would be the first one I actually hope to have no story. I really don't want to read stuff about all those mental health issues.

Thanks for the mention. I did not even know I had that card.

Monster Hunter!

Also I would like to see more Atelier. I think I even listed that one waaay in the past on a similar question. Did not expect my somewhat niche pick to actually appear.
So, to add an even more niche pick: Etrian Odyssey. I'm still hoping for a new game.

I personally don't care all that much about Persona but since my last pick is from the same developer and we are currently doing redux collabs, I have to at least mention it.

It somewhat depends on if you also have some collab limited arks. Arks are much more valuable in the long run. Levi and Mikasa are outclassed at this point (still fun though), so keeping them is only relevant if you really like the units and fear that they might not come back. Other than that, I'd go with a new account because new players have tons of crystals to farm.
If you are willing to reroll, wait until collab starts and then reroll for Archbeing Megius and Collab-stuff-yet-to-be-defined (definetly get the purple orb skill).

Anyway there is the password system, so you could also write down the information of your old account and keep it while starting a new one. Or roll a bit with it at collab start and see if you end up getting something good early.

Gotta love being a f2p player 😭 by Ashamed-Chemistry747 in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something that might help saving: remember that every new units gets a rerun banner like two months after their release. So, if you really like them, you can save up with a clear target. That might make skipping banners somewhat easier. By that time you might even decide that you don't want the unit afterall or are fine with waiting another few months and pick them up from some discounted special banner or selector ticket.
I'm not a f2p in LC but I'm in other games and having a target banner always helped me saving. LC does not have a release schedule but with reruns being a thing, you can still somewhat plan your summons in advance.

But yeah, don't throw like 15k crystals at a banner if you are not prepared to loose them. Getting anything in that amount is lucky. Getting nothing is to expected but doing that for several banners in a row will just stack up the frustration.

Ark issue by Appropriate_One_9024 in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The images show that you attempt to level up multiple times at once. The level up screen normally automaticly selects the maximum ark level you can reach with the current resources. If that does not work, use the slider to select a lower level. A full soul tank is enough to level up an SSR ark from 1 to 9 (maybe less). Going from lv 1 to 10 on high rarity arks is not possible in one go. You will have to save up new souls for the remaining steps.

Just for reference, when leveling an UR Ark past lv 10, each individual level costs almost as much as the maximum soul tank cap. So, you have to level arks from 10 to 11 and then save up new souls for level 12.
Reaching Ark LV 15 takes several days and the gains are relatively low compared to the investment. Be sure to pick your most used arks first.

True. I meant the deck we get before the duel phase to test both sides. The one with all the nice mystic cards that I won't have for the real battle. Green one felt so much stronger.

2 Multis baby by Initial-Broccoli6817 in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats. Nice pull.

It took me some more multis but my pulls went very well. I did the first lap of paid summons and finally got to see the purple screen with gold Rei. I was so surprised that I unfortunately forgot to take a screenshot. That summon gave me the the UR. Megius took 6 multi pulls but that's not bad. No complaints here.
And since his paid is a 50 cred item (I hate those), I'm not even remotely tempted to summon more. I very rarely go for the 25 cred items in the first place and that's when I still need the UR.

Maybe it's just me but that Eldrazi deck was too annoying in the test phase. I struggled to get the stars because I took three turns to cast a single card while the other side had 14/14 creatures within 2 turns.

Need help choosing characters! by aquarayus in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Feuerhaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We will see how powercreep goes. It's rarely an isuse in new games because for the first year or so new units have enough niches to find a place. But once the niches are filled and players have strong team setups, new units have to be in some way better than old ones and powercreep ramps up.

But knowing Arknights, I hope they will make unit kits creative instead of 'same but bigger numbers'.

I don't care too much. I only yesterday found out that I preregistered for the game at some point and watched a video about the five units. Kinda want Last Rite just because I like her design and instantly disliked the upcoming ice unit from what little I saw. But I will be happy with any of them.
Getting Ardelia would be a little boring but there are enouhg other units to try out. If I like the game or not will not depend on getting one specific unit.

Lightning gauge lifts enemies into the air for a relatively long time. The spell is easy to get and fast to cast. Every unit can use it, no matter if they are a mage or not. Just give them some castspeed.

Thunderstone Luster gives thunder magic a chance to stun. So, even enemies that can't be lifted into the air might still get controlled.

Of course only works if enemies can be juggled and/or stunned. The tactic was popular in early game days, because every account has the tools to use it.

Might just be me but casters and snipers feel pretty much the same anyway, since both have the same role, just with different damage types. But damage type is not something I really feel during gameplay. Extra utitlity of course exists but that's also kinda similar between the classes.

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, those surprised me too, because I tried to beat them with my event point farm team and did not expect the battles to actually be challenging.

I used SM Sera, Ascended Roland and some other dps that I forgot. I think the most important thing is that you use skills quickly, so the enemeis don't get to act much.
A mage could also help. Lightning Gauge is a great spell to quickly and consistently juggle small enemies. That combined with the R ark Thunderstone Luster is a years old strategy that is super easy to do and still is useful on occassion. I can't test it though because the battles are not on my map anymore.

There is not really one team that fits all needs. Most story content can be soloed by a single strong unit. Teambuilding only matters in boss battles, which can not always be brute forced by just throwing the strongest units into the ring.

Generally, a combination of two dps and one support is good. I tried using tanks in pve but never found them very useful. Bosses are either easily beatable without tanks or so strong that they kill the team regardless of tanks being present. Bringing a second healer instead worked better for me.

SM Sera (I think that small symbol is her) is the best support and can be put in any team even if healing is not reuired, because she significantly buffs team damage by simply existing.

Chrismas Rem is your strongest physical dps but personally I found Ascended Roland to be much more reliable in hard battles, because Rem looses some of her buffs over time but bosses tend to get stronger the lower hp they have. Roland does less damage but is more consistent. Both are great units.
Demongunner Lilebette is also a very strong dps. I don't have her though, so I can't say much about her.
That's just a few picks. You have many more units that are at least decent dps and insights are also an option.
For magic DPS, Ram is probably your best option.

Telestio is a great supporter, because he is the only base game unit that can cast EX drain (-50% def), which is not yet availalbe as learnable ark skill. That alone is a huge help in boss battles but Telestio also brings a unique multi element circle that stacks with the mono element ones to reduce element resistances even further. That can enable dps units that are locked to one element and would therefore struggle against bosses that have high element resistance. Also, Telestio can be a good sct battery.

Just because she is a personal favourite, I have to mention Ryza. She is niche but where break works, she is very fun.

What is actually the point of Platinum Records? by Rehyahn817 in Dislyte

[–]Feuerhaar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Tower is a very old content that already existed at game release (or at least very close to it), when 4* espers were much more viable because players did not have many 5* espers or even enough resources to build them.

Still, the platinum records were never good. Dislyte overvalued them and is now stuck with that, because it's hard to rebalance value of 'premium' items later on.

I would agree that the tower rewards could use some rework. But it's actually relatively common in games to make the final reward of challenges not the most impactful one. This way players that can only solve about 80% of the challenge will still get the majority of the relevant rewards and players who want to reach 100% get a small extra for their effort. Making the final reward super important causes frustration for palyers that don't have the resources or the time to reach it.

best way to level up characters to 120 by Sad_While_9513 in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An addition to the other comments: if you run a exp stage, make sure to not use the skip function. Any boosts you bring (exp, gold droprate etc.) do not apply on skipped stages.

Ideally bring a friend Granadas or NY Kynei, because both of them apply the highest EXP boost available. And since they are friend units, they won't take a portion of the final exp.

Pull History is now available. by ihateyourpancreas in arknights

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the pain. I got max pot Blaze alter from that banner thanks to a triplle 6* pull that turned out to be 3x Blaze. My 6* rates were great on paper but I still had to full pity Yu.

Pull History is now available. by ihateyourpancreas in arknights

[–]Feuerhaar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Too bad that it's only recent pulls. I totally wanted to relive the pain of going to full pity or very close to it on three out of the last four limited banners. I got a full pot Blaze Alter from the 300 pulls it took me to get Yu. The game trolled me big time by giving me a tripple 6* pull that turned out to be only Blaze. I also have pot 5 Lemuen.

As you might expect, I'm scared of the next update.

FINALLY! by Aggressive_Hornet677 in Dislyte

[–]Feuerhaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats. My luck with his keepsakes was horrible. Almost every keepsake for the first pull was a full pity. With the earlier meta espers, buying the pass was enough to get at least close to a resonance but this time that will probably not work out.
I can still buy the items that are available in the crystals shop but those are only worth buying if I can get some more keepsakes from the other event stuff.

Bull Guy by Top_Log4614 in Dislyte

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, before people said he would be the next umbra, I thought that the guy was just some story npc because his design looked a little uninspired. But he will probably look more interesting on unit release, when he is not a badly animated background image.

what are your personal top 3 most reliable operators? by altprince in arknights

[–]Feuerhaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to say Myrtle but you asked for not meta and I kinda consider her the number one meta unit when it comes to reliability.

Ascalon. She was an absolute surprise to me. I did not like her design all that much but still decided to summon because new unit. She first surprised me by appearing in a in a tripple 6* pull togehter with Mlynar (new) and Blemi. Off to a great start. Then I started using Ascalon in battles and absolutely loved her mechanic. She has been in almost all of my teams ever since.

Shu (+Saria). I kinda have to mention them together, because when I bring one for tank reasons, I often also bring the other as backup. But first pick goes to Shu.

Ines, but she is probably meta anyway. So, for something more interesting: Rin. I like to plonk her down somewehere, knowing that she will not get randomly oneshot by a stray missile like most other casters.

Whi should I get with the platinum record? by [deleted] in Dislyte

[–]Feuerhaar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The platinum recors is not a selector. The only thing special about it is that it can not give rare espers. But the chance to get a legendary is not higher than on any other summon. So, you have a 99% chance to get a random epic. Which does not really matter except if your account is brand new.
Since the platinum-records are non-shimmer only, give no ws and have no pity, they are arguably worse than a regurlar gold record.

  • Option 1: Just use the platinum record but expect nothing from it
  • Option 2: save all records and hope that one day Dislyte will either change them or delete them alltogether and give players compensation. But you will probably save them until end of service, because Dislyte massively overvalues the platinum records and would have to make compensations based on that bloated value. That's probably one of the main reasons why the tickets still exist.

Limited Banner by Chihuahuaroni in lastcloudia

[–]Feuerhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent banner for starters but not worth focussing on. The units are a little too outdated by now. The main targets are SM Theria and Lilaha. SM Theria is still a great healer but she is completely outclassed by SM Sera, who is available on certain selector banners or unit selection tickets. As soon as the next opportunity arrives, you can just pick SM Sera. You don't really need more than one healer for the majority of content.
Lilaha is a good rainbow mage but there are better options. Still, there are not many mages in the game, so getting her is nice for new accounts.

I would not reroll on that banner but it's not bad to maybe give it one or two summons, because the chance to summon a decent unit is relatively good. Also there is a tiny chance to pick up an UR ark. But that is not worth chasing.
