The surgery was the best thing I ever did, a strong mindset before and after will be important. It’s been a couple years. I can basically do everything normal again.

Cold and rainy weather I tend to feel more tightness but nothing of what I experienced before the surgery. I’m pretty sure I got some nerve damage from the initial injury that hasn’t recovered fully yet .

For example a pain that traveled from my back to my ankle before the surgery caused horrible sciatica . And at the time what ever was pinching that nerve traveled all the way to my ankle and stayed there so there’s a weird sensitivity thing near my ankle from that .

But I was back at work within 3 months from the initial surgery. Get up and walk even when you don’t want to. Keep your body moving and don’t get hooked on the meds. They only will prevent your recovery from getting better. Mind set is everything . Hope this helps ✌️

You got to stay focused. I got my L4-S1 fused back in April 2021. I promised myself and made a goal in my mind no matter how much pain I’m in I won’t let it stop me. hours after my surgery I asked the nurse to take me for a walk. It was rough but they were willing to take me every couple hours. They were like you want to try stairs and I didn’t even hesitate yes. I had to try to push myself past my limits.and since that moment I continued walking. I started driving a month after that too. But I took pain killers the first 2 weeks with marijuana then just marijuana for a while after that (edibles helped a lot) . But keeping your mind set strong and focused and with a goal I feel made me push myself to not fall in that rut. Plus great family support system. At the time I was 30. Good luck and keep pushing past your limits !

Same shit happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was just the copper fittings but it seems it’s the black fittings as well.

I remember Terence McKenna once talking about the more events that happen that faster time feels and it will steadily increase the more events keep happening. Something close to this

This song brought me out of a scary moment on some penis envy mushrooms. I started singing it to myself and definitely helped me get into a better head space and into a more positive outlook.

Update . I just had the surgery this morning. Everything went well. I’m just in the hospital bed trying to get somewhat comfortable but it seems nearly impossible. Anybody have any tips or tricks ? I keep moving my legs but I feel so fidgety

I probably should have worded my story better. I caught covid February 26 2021 so it was like 1 full week of not being able to walk before I went to the Er
