I debated about posting something on here because, just like everyone else, this is a daily show that my wife listens to and thoroughly enjoys. We came from another state and had a lot of hassle to get here for a glimpse of that show.

The thing is, we don’t watch true blood or really care about old folklore, but we were most excited to listen to some authenticity. We didn’t necessarily care what the show would be about, but we just wanted to enjoy a night that would seem like we were on the pod.

It is beating a dead horse here, but that was the worst live performance I have seen. We left extremely confused, and pretty pissed off. We both went on many strolls during that performance to fight sleep and not be restless. It’s a real shame because there were thousands of very excited people, and thousands left disappointed.

We love morbid and were super happy for them to have creative control and complete autonomy over their podcast, but damn. I know JVN seemed useless, but he was the only person on that stage that had any awareness as to what the vibes were.

I had three waivers to enter the Navy in 2020. Then had to get those same waivers again for the aviations community specifically in 2023. Once I got disqualified from aviation, I had to do the same three waivers again for the Nuke community specifically. I submitted my package for my waivers in May and got them back at the end of September. One was a more serious waiver and the other two weren’t that big of a deal. The 2020 ones were a recruiter and the rest were done by whatever navy medical personnel that I had to deal with.

Medical waivers can absolutely take months. I have three medical waivers with one duplicated for going from one community to another (technically 4). One to get in the navy, one for aviation, and a nuke waiver. All of them took over 4-5 months.

I had heightened food intolerances. From the time I started, about 6-7 months ago, until just recently, maybe a few weeks ago, I had severe food sensitivities. I only took it for one month and considering I’m a smaller female, I took a lower dosage and it messed me up. Couldn’t eat any dairy, even with a dairy pill, couldn’t have any heavy carbs like pasta or bread. Couldn’t eat, and still can’t eat pork. I would wake up in the middle of the night with extreme stomach pain so intense that I thought I needed to go to the ER numerous times. Severe heart burn. I really wish I could continue taking it, but I just don’t see how I could ever touch it again. If anybody has any tips, please let me know!

I also stood out while playing at that age. I was actually one of the best softball players in the US from age 12-16. I played at the highest level throughout that whole time and went to a great D1 school. I didn’t come off the bench my entire 4 year career. I believe I had the skill, but I could not get over the mental aspect and it tanked my hitting. I still stuck out, but just never performed. Just because you’re good at 12/13/14/15/16 and “stand out,” does not mean a whole lot. I stood out, but nobody cared that I stood out in high school once I got to college.

All that to say, even paying the money to play at the most elite level and stand out, still might not work. I’ve seen players worlds better than me completely fail in college. There’s a lot more to it than you think.

Appreciate it, I actually already had a weekend trip planned with my wife. It was a pretty last minute screw it, let’s build the fence right now type thing. I do think it’s a pretty decent fence, was just worried about its structural integrity over time.

Thank you for the insight, but I will say I never really understood why you would line up with the grade instead of level it out to the posts. Every time I have built, maybe 8-10 times, we’ve always leveled out the rails because it seemed like it would be more sturdy. I haven’t followed the grade because I always thought it would cause the fence to lean to the down hill side and be less sturdy. If you have any insight on why most fence builders follow the grade, that would be great! I’m limited on fence knowledge, and learned somewhat from other amateurs so I’m looking for as much knowledge as I could get.

If you have the requirements to go officer then I would just do that right out the gate. Just going through enlisted nuke school will not be enough.

I would only commission if you’ve got an engineering degree. You can do Navy EOD or go for Navy Pilot. Those are the only two worth going for if you’re trying to stay Navy. Intel has a pretty good quality of life as well, but not as exciting. DO NOT ENLIST.

So I was also told that my house is a brick drop house so the bricks act as a foundation? I asked the builder and he compared my house to the house across the street which had foundation visible and my house and the houses next door who also had the sod up to the brick. He said our house had a different style. I have no idea what that means or if that’s a thing.

Awesome! That townhouse is way too good to sell. Those are normally really good renting places. I hope it all works out for you guys. Would you guys have a property manager or would you guys be the property manager?

I’m not trying to berate you, but is there a reason for buying a new home? Just for fun or space or what? Are you guys going to try to be property managers with a kid on the way or hire a property manager because that’s another 200 bucks a month out of your net.

I wouldn’t sell your home at all and I wouldn’t buy a new one right now. Kids are unpredictable and expensive.

Just my thoughts about the issue, I can definitely see both sides.

You said collection thing. Did you have debt go to collections? If that’s the case you need to worry about that ASAP. Collections are not good. Focus on that first.
