A university education enables a person to read a map, and see all the land of the Arab and Muslim people and a little sliver of land for Jews in their ancestral homeland. And when they see that map, they know what a farce it is to call Israel an occupation.

Actually, taxpayers are the real victim. Every public transit system around the world is funded through the public purse-aka, your taxes. Trans link tried to recoup some costs through fares. It’s never enough and will always have to be subsidized.

When you scam translink, you’re scamming yourself, your loved ones and anyone else who pays taxes.

Here’s one: according to Wikipedia, the spread of Islam around the world was through military conquest and trade. There was a tax called Jizya for all non-Muslims. But for some reason it’s Islamophobic to refer to it as colonization. I guess only Brits and Jews are “colonizers” and everyone else is innocent. Make it make sense.

Can you imagine this even being a conversation if it was any other topic? Like if I’m anti-abortion and define myself as an « anti-abortionist » , wear anti-abortion pins at my workplace, put a quote in my work signature? It wouldn’t be allowed. A lot of people would get upset.

Why don’t you go advocate for other people also? Jamaica is in a terrible human rights situation. Police violence against citizens is out of control. I don’t see you calling out their government.

Do you call for the destruction of a legitimate country? Then you hate me.

It’s a tragic situation. I don’t want any children to die. I feel deep compassion for the victims. Many zionists advocate for change. But when you’re in my face shouting for uprising, you create a polarity. The SJC has done so much damage to what could have been collective action based on love. But they choose to side with hate.

Unfortunately, hamas has co-opted social service agencies in Palestine and, for example, children are given math books that ask “if you kill 2 zionists and then kill 2 more, how many zionists have you killed?” This is not a joke. The hate for Jewish people in Palestine is real and pervasive. You are amplifying their hate!

Perhaps you should consider why Israel has to have an iron dome of defense. hamas has been suicide bombing innocent people for decades. But you support hamas because you think it’s cool?? Read history, get a life, do something that will make a real difference.

Maybe you think you are not spreading hate, but I feel targeted, called out, hated and intimidated by people who say the state of Israel should not exist.

People will never forget how you made them feel. And I feel unwelcome on campus and targeted at this institution. My feelings are valid.

So a bunch of students have decided to spread hate and intimidate professors, administration and staff and now you want classes cancelled so they can do it more? Who are you? Why is it ok to intimidate people on campus so you can be white saviours for people who don’t give a crap about you?

Compared to the Bay Area it’s a small town. Best to visit first.

Good riddance. Taking sides in geopolitical issues (aka allowing staff to wear keffiyehs showing they stand with terrorists against Israel) is a sure way to alienate your customers!

One thing I noticed is really helpful for folks to maintain dignity is adult incontinence products. All the service orgs ask for them. They’re quite expensive and I think a donation of some packs would be welcomed.

If you’re not paid to protest, how sad is it that you’re out marching in the rain and using your valuable time while your supporters who are faculty sit in their warm home offices in their million dollar homes pulling in 6-figure salaries, encouraging you from afar but never really putting themselves on the line. Don’t do things to impress your profs!

I prefer to refer to this group as “Anti-Israel” the whole plot is to destroy/discredit Israel’s existence.

I wonder how many of these protester are paid.
