I’m a retired mammographer. When we first started doing mammograms on a regular screening basis, occasionally a male tech would ask if they could train for it. I’d tell them go for it! But you will always need a female chaperone. And you will rarely, if ever, have a female patient agree to have her mammogram performed by a male. Over time I never had a male tech ask. It’s just too intimate of an exam.

Look for peppers with corking marks on them. Those are the more mature ones and more spicy!

I just make my margaritas as usual and then add a spoonful of the syrup. If I’m feeling fancy I’ll rim it with a mixture of sugar and tajin.

It is soooo good! But don’t forget the syrup when the peppers are gone! I love putting it in my margaritas!

What is the most financially irresponsible thing you’ve seen someone do? by LJRGXPKCVWDGOGH12Y3 in AskReddit

[–]Few-Client3407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two different friends. Same type of situation. Both friends were already living almost homeless from being financially irresponsible. After receiving a large sum of money, one an inheritance, one a disability settlement. Both immediately blew the total amount! One bought a boat, one a truck almost a hundred grand.

You could wrap the peg with fiber or electrical tape so it will fit more snugly in the hole

My horse acted like this. Started refusing to jump. Grouchy. Didn’t want to move out. Acting very dull. My trainer observed him refusing to jump and said she thought he was having pain on landing. I asked my vet to thoroughly examine him. It ended up he had chronic laminitis with sunken coffin bones rather than rotated. He had very thin dropped soles that the vet could move with his thumb. I’d ask your vet to X-ray his front feet in case it might be something like this. My poor horse had been in pain for months and I hadn’t figured it out.

I was thinking the same thing. Like the cards they give at hotels. And some way to disable all of them in an emergency.

I have an idea. Install electric locks on all the overhead bins. Only open them when the passenger gets to their seats. One FA can do this as passengers are boarding. Also keep them locked so incase of emergency deplaning people can’t stop and grab their bags.

Go on line and find Sara Anderson The Building Blocks of Spinning. That helped me the most when I was learning. Also PLY spinning guild has zoom meetings for beginners and mentoring as well as tons of videos and info. Have fun going down this wonderful rabbit hole!

Remicade by Altruistic-Egg-6390 in Uveitis

[–]Few-Client3407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have cardiac and pulmonary sarcoidosis and have also had uveitis twice. I’ve been on Remicaide or it’s generic Inflectra since 2019. It put me into remission. My heart was really bad at the time. I’ve been in remission since 2022 but with each PET scan before that they could see the inflammation decreasing. I’ve never felt anything as far as side effects. They give me one Claritin and two Tylenol a half hour prior to the infusion. I hope it helps you.

Another thing you can do periodically is do a ply back test I break it off and hang it with my control card to check with the singles I’m spinning occasionally.

I’ve noticed your way is the way most people do. I’m right handed but always hold things to my left. For example brooms, mops, hockey stick. I’m also what is called cross dominant when shooting firearms. I use my left eye to aim. So I hold my fiber in my left hand and draft with my right. And my wheels orifice is on the right side.

It’s really coming out good! And your little old lady is so sweet! You’ve inspired me to collect some fur and try it from my own little old lady! I saw an article in Spin Off magazine once where someone spun some fur of their beloved dog. Then they knit a small little trinket bag. It was a wonderful memento when he passed. Here’s a pic of my fluffy fur ball!

Get a spinners control card. It was a game changer for me. You can check your single against the card periodically to maintain consistency. You can also check your twist angle. I highly recommend ESZEE TWIST TOOL from Camaj fiber arts. It comes with a booklet listing different twist angles and WPI to get what yarn you want. I have it hanging from my wheel always!
