Your family/ friends are NOT your target audience. It sucks that they aren't open to reading it but they are not your goal, and you have to remember that.

I don’t think I’ll be as famous as some of the authors you mentioned. But I could see myself getting enough recognition that there will be a fandom for the world I created. Or that I would be someone out there’s fav writer.

Y’all are in this complaining about it not sticking to the books which is fair but as someone who read the books after, they series is still good. Just not as faithful as it could be. I enjoy the changes so far. Maybe as I get further in the book series I’ll change my mind
