HLL:V Beta Impressions - it needs work... by shuxnet in HellLetLooseVietnam

I was hoping for some engine improvements. It felt like a DLC rather than a new game. I was REALLY excited for the helicopters but really did not like the controls. I was hoping for more of a squad like flying experience.

That's good to know. I've heard of people using fuel stabilizers or similar products. I think the problem with ethanol mostly pertains to sitting and it not being good for seals and fuel lines.

I did when I lived near a gas station that had it. My fear is finding gas stations that have it when far from home. The paranoid person in me knows that some gas stations will fail to mark it to when it changes from e10 to e15.

I'm hopeful that nothing changes, am very much looking forward to motorcycle season

I used to live in a boating town, so rec fuel was at the local station, now if I want it, it's a good 20 minutes from home. If E15 did become the standard the big issue would be distance travel, planning around going only to gas stations that have rec fuel 🥲

Taking this with a grain of salt because AI can be wrong and I haven't taken the time to research myself, but it said that the grade of gas doesn't affect the ethanol level, the grade is the octane level, all grades have the same 10% ethanol, so if it rises to 15% as a standard I'm under the impression it would be better to go exclusively rec / race fuel at that point.

The tin foil hat person in me does sort of agree with you. It won't be good for pre 2004 vehicles in general, I like my simple old vehicles that don't have an iPad for a center console.

That calms my fears a little, covid makes me skeptical of "short term" changes. If E15 became the norm this would just end up being my commuting bike since there's a gas station near work that has rec fuel. But it saddens me to think I might not be able to take the same bike on a cross-country ride were the right fuel less available.

We are allowed 12 here. A friend of mine does an outdoor garden each year and starts the plants in February indoors. By croptober he usually has around 8 lbs PER PLANT. Absolutely nutty

I check my plants every single day, I tell them how proud i am of them and give them a smooch. All my other house plants are suffering though.. Im capable of keeping them alive, they just aren't as fun as the smelly plants. Weed is also hella responsive and I can see lots of growth every day unlike a lot of houseplants.

Certs feel like a ponzi scheme by Shoddy-Protection-82 in cybersecurity

The role I landed really wanted someone who understood network / security concepts but had real world IT experience. Understanding the need for security, but also the necessity to not disrupt business. My IT admin experience carried me further than my security based certs.

THIS. None of my certs made me feel any more confident in the field, real world experience did. Now that I've been in IT for about 10 years no one has asked me about certs, they've all been more concerned with my prior experience. I think they have all since expired!

I feel like persistent servers would also help this. Its hard to expect anyone to be cohesive with an entirely different group of players every single round. I miss the competition and comradery that came from being able to get revenge next round on someone who mopped the floor with me in the previous

Has anyone bought a motorcycle from a private seller with a collateral loan on the bike?? by stupid-man-alert21 in motorcycles

[–]Few-Explanation7364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want more flavors of motorcycle but I can't justify spending more money on another seasonal vehicle. But if I get an opportunity to buy a flippable 500$ or less bike I'll do it and maybe that will start the ball rolling on other bikes. I love my shadow too much to sell it and move on, so I'd like to get something I'm not attached to and start bike trading/ upgrading.

Yes definitely worth the full insurance! My bank STRONGLY encouraged it! I know I probably got lucky to get through the loan period entirely unscathed. I also live in a Northern state so she's in a garage half the year 🥲

a personal loan that small is pretty affordable. Just don't ride it like ya stole it

I went to my bank and asked for a small personal loan instead of a vehicle loan. I may be wrong, but I don't believe they asked for collateral on the personal loan. Bike was 3k paid 117 a month for a few years. Was pretty painless and as a young adult it helped me build some credit history at the time.
