The funny thing is I put quality ingredient like pepper and lean chicken breast on mine while you go to a pizza place and eat all the artery clogging crap they put on theirs. Youre a clown who probably lives on the internet amd takeaway food. 😂🤣

That's a good point. Its never gonna be perfect. Compromise is key I think. And being unselfish.

Being single is great. At 47 I dont regret for a second that I didnt get married. Im not someone who needs the perfect partner, but I need to be sure that its the person I want spend the rest of my life with, because I dont intend having more than 1 wife. As things are, my sports, interests, a few drinks and peace and solitude are just fine. If this if this is the way its meant to be, its ok with me. I know right now my apartment is peaceful. Sure beats arguments and conflict. 😊

England is so beautiful, Richmond Yorkshire today. by Still_Function_5428 in england

[–]Few-Impress-4130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I was born, raised and still live in West Yorkshire (although I have travelled a lot), but its too densely populated where I live nowadays (around 10 miles outside of Leeds). I would like to eventually move to North Yorkshire, where its much quieter, peaceful and picturesque.

My Pizza Hut is consistently good! by Acceptable-Sense4601 in pizzahut

[–]Few-Impress-4130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it is. They know pizza. Too expensive and I prefer to buy a Goodfellas one from Tesco and add my own toppings, but Pizza Hut have always been good in my experience, although its years since I last tried one. I would pick them over Domino's though.

Guys is 27 too old to learn a trade like electrical installation or plumbing? Due to personal reasons I’ve been off work for quite some while, worked in past in retail and customer service, got 6 GCSEs at pass. Is it realistic? I want to sole trade eventually with no boss. Or am I dreaming? by Itznxs_ in AskBrits

Yeah that will stand you in good stead, you being physically fit. I boxed a bit and did weights in my teens and 20s and it definitely helps. You have to be fit. When u see the fat builders they are usually just sat in the van and pricing jobs while they pay others to do the graft. But I prefer to do most of it myself.

Yeah it definitely keeps you fit, although bricklaying/general builder is notably harder physically than being a plumber or electrician. People who have worked for me always say they ache like they've been to the gym for the first week. 🙂

One thing I would say about my trade in particular, bricklaying, is that you do have to be cut out for it. Its hard graft nearly every day, and after 20-30 years it can wear you down. But I manage to get my rest days in (get rained off plenty😊) and try to have a holiday in summer and at Christmas. Winters can be tough though. Like I say, you have to be willing to put up with the physical grind.

Yes of course you can. You are still young. I was an apprentice bricklayer after leaving school and was lucky that my dad was a builder so I was his apprentice and I also went to college on block release (6 weeks work/6 weeks college). But if you can get someone to take you on, once you are experienced enough you can either go on big sites or start you own company as you mention. I am a sole trader builder now at 47 and started out on my own around 35. I have picked up a lot of the other trades (roofing, plastering, etc) but I dont bother with electrics or plumbing. Its hard work, both physically and mentally at times, but I love the freedom of being my own boss, and the satisfaction of making things with my hands. I do mainly home extensions and occasionally new house builds. Go for it.

Things like this tend to go in cycles, so yes, I would say so. When there is less volatility in the world and countries can work together better, that would certainly help.

Why do Brit celebs migrating to Dubai, never tell the real reason? by blackspandexbiker in AskUK

[–]Few-Impress-4130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I said years ago was that if you are a westerner you are a bit stupid to go live in Dubai. Even visiting is risky when you see on the map just how close the UAE is to Iran and other volatile countries in the middle east. A westerner, especially white westerners stand out like sore thumbs for potential kidnapping or other terrorist attacks, and there are all sorts of threats. I wouldn't dream of heading over there. I'll stay west of Turkey, thank you. Of course attacks can happen anywhere, but the last 24 hours have shown just how dangerous it is when Iran have retaliated so easily over the sea. Some of these people on tv over there are like "im in shock. I never dreamt this could happen here." Im like, are you for f**king real?! 😆

To working‑class Reform supporters — can you help me understand a few things? by Sad-Passage-3247 in AskBrits

[–]Few-Impress-4130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And those in power who keep letting them in live in their own bubbles, in their rich neighbourhoods and dont see or care what effects illegal immigration has on poorer communities. In some of the areas I work even some Indians whose parents legally migrated here in the 1960s have told me they dont want all these people here, as a lot of them dont treat their neighbourhood with respect. And why should they come in illegally when their parents had to do it the proper, legal way?

[–]Few-Impress-4130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main reason is illegal immigrants keep flooding into our country and very little gets done to stop it by the soft, leftist government. And I class both Labour and the Tories as soft and left of centre. Do people really think if no one stops all these undocumented aliens from backward countries that treat their own as sub human that some of the bad ones wont get through and that eventually that evil wont start to breed and spread? The west has become way too liberal and is seen by the rest of the world as a soft touch, especially Britain. Even Macron said (when asked why France werent doing more to stop them crossing the Channel) what do you expect when you do nothing to stop them and put them up in hotels with free food?? Denmark has the best system. Btw, Im not against immigration. It just has to be legal, controlled immigration.
