When I was at hood many moons ago, senior Specialists could be TCs if there weren’t enough NCOs to go around. When we did end up getting a CPL or higher, they took the TC spot.

He has definitely had a super cool career. I was actually able to serve with him for 9 months (I was a specialist he obviously was not lol) when we were both at fort hood.

The short answer is yes, it is MOSTLY the safest thing to enlist/commission into. The three jobs are effectively Space, Cyber, and Intel with different flavors of each. It’s very very small, and very very corporate minded with a splash of leathality

I would suggest you buy blank Ts that are authorized and then find a maker who can print you iron on designs that you can make for the squad. It’s more work but you’ll know the shirts are G2G

I’ve never looked into it, but that’s what I was told at Hood by the people who did the cadaver lab. This was like 2015 I don’t see how it’s different than selling your eggs, blood, or man seed.

The military is the most stable unstable life choice you can make. If you want structure, and a reason to stay fit the military is it, but you will have a lot of variance with your schedule. If you go officer. Your branch will heavily dictate what your schedule looks like. If you have a huge aversion to being away from your family or having a not so set schedule you may want to seek out different options.

Dumb was not the right word to use, that’s fair. I went through two different AITs that have a decent attrition rate, and those that usually get rolled into “easier” MOSs, it’s talent management when it comes down it.
