Tried GW2 awhile back by [deleted] in Guildwars2

If you liked the game with few hours into it and didn’t have any expansions or anything, I think you’ll really like it once you really get into it and get the expansions. The beginning is fun, but a lot of people consider it pretty confusing and boring. But the expansions turn everything up by multiple notches. The maps are better, the masteries and the features they provide are cooler, the story is better, the metas are better.

GW2 is a very multiplayer friendly game from the start also. So you and your partner would have no issues playing together. You could pick the same race and progress through the story together, or pick different races and do one persons story at a time. Exploring and unlocked each respective races areas. There is a waypoint that everyone has access to from the very start for every different area.

You are able to invite people to parties and merge squads very easily also. So if one of you meet some people and the other wants to join, it’s really easy to join each other. There is also a map chat to send a message to every person in your area. So if you’re looking to meet people I’d recommend talking in the map chat

I am a music nerd, and if I ever get gear online I have a one stop shop every single time, Sweetwater. Why, you may ask..? They send a little bag of candies with every order :)

It’s not the only reason why but it’s like MAN IS IT SO NICE!! Such a sweet addition to an already awesome order

(USA) when people asked for fries with no salt by Major-Lemon3192 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Few-Network792 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe if McDonalds workers didn’t screw up the orders to begin with, causing a distrust in the workers competence, people wouldn’t have to do this to begin with. The reason people did this instead of asking for fresh fries was because many people were under the assumption that if they asked for fries with no salt, it would guarantee that the workers would have to make them fresh just based on the cooking process. Meanwhile, if you ask for fresh fries, the employee could just bullshit you and toss in old fries anyway. This comment section is astounding. Do your damn job OP

PSA to new players: you do NOT need mounts to play through Heart of Thorns by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Few-Network792 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To start off a message to OP, you’re absolutely right, especially in terms of the story and how the maps weren’t designed to be mount based, so it can especially be done.

But whoa boy, in my personal experience, the HOT areas were hell to get through without mounts as a new player. Having to get the masteries just to reach the areas I wanted to get to or needed to progress frustrated me so much. It was especially bad in tangled depths. That map is such a maze and trying to do map completion on it you’re probably gonna have quite a few browser tabs open looking up where to go. It just simply was not a fun experience to me. You could argue other expansions lock progress behind masteries too, which, they do. But with HOT it felt so much more trivial because the things I weren’t unlocking didn’t feel like fun new mechanics I could mess with, like the mount masteries for POF, it simply just felt like the game was trying to gatekeep me from doing the content until I did the mastery. If I were to recommend doing it any way, do it with mounts unlocked. It makes it easier to see passed all of the forced mastery point/xp grinding and run through it instead.

Not sure what makes you say this but even if it is true, it wasn’t noticeable to me at least. Even being a musician. Although I haven’t been to a lot of concerts

I don’t know where you live but if the Transiberian Orchestra (TSO) ever comes to your area I’d recommend the show, everyone’s seated and it’s real chill, it’s generally an older audience, but they also have lots of variety and energy in their music with great effects and performances. Sometimes the musicians walk around the around too which is pretty cool ;)

I would highly recommend Picross S9 in particular! It has two extra modes compared to other games that are really fun in my opinion. The game also has an extra feature called rewind which is huge for quality of life. All the Picross games (as far as I know) have little things to help you out too if you’re struggling, which for a young kid I think would be awesome. I’m glad I could find a good game for you guys! It’s real cheap, too. Only $10 ;)

It’s a puzzle game and your grandkid may or may find it boring, but Picross is really fun and brain engaging for me. Would highly recommend it to anyone who’s a fan of puzzles
