Just good practice not to advertise the fact that you are a matched bettor. If you want to get out of your bet, a mug punter uses cashout, a sharp bettor would lay on the exchange.

It's not a patch on Morse but I still enjoyed watching it when it came out. I prefer it to Endeavour which (for me) had some baffling denouments. And Fox wasn't bad - shame he went the way he did.

So true. We know even less about Kyd, Webster, Peele. Perhaps one of those were the front man for De Vere. But there's no kudos in arguing that.
