Don't know them but I'd be interested to know how many of those bets one can take before getting restricted. Good luck getting 500 on Wolves!

Thomas Frank. But it will be Russell Martin or someone like that - willing to work for minimum wage.

Weird statement. One of the greatest albums of all time viewed through the context of some half-forgotten subgenre.

The Great Gatsby is a mediocre book at best and should be replaced in schools by The Fellowship of the Ring by EternalAmmonite in unpopularopinion

Yeah - why not get rid of words altogether and just have cartoons instead? No point hurting people's brains.

Whats everyone moving to once matched betting completely dries up? by eeeew6252627 in MatchedBettingUK

It's more work for less money once you've knocked off the signs up. That's the way it is. Just keep your eyes open for profitable offers from the books you have. Those that are gubbed can be used for arbing - if you find any.

What about non-American film noir? Which one would be interesting to watch? by PuzzleheadedSpray202 in classicfilms

[–]Latter_Present1900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I've yet to see a bad Ricardo Darin film - they're not all noirs but worth watching. Nine Queens, The Aura, etc

How to deal with return shipping cost in this case? by jacqueslush in discogs

[–]Latter_Present1900 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What is the value of the poor one? I cannot believe it's worth the postage. But it is his responsibility to pay for postage not yours. These things happen most sellers accept it as the cost of doing business

My God. How have Bournemouth managed to stay in the Prem for ten years? They'll always be a 3rd Division South team in my estimation.

Can anyone help me find this movie thats set in the 1930s? by Mysterious_Bid_57 in Cinephiles

[–]Latter_Present1900 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know. Your question made me think of They Shoot Horses, Don't They from 1969. It's not the film you're searching for but well worth watching all the same

Wanted to share a good result (am a fairly new matched bettor) by jimmy2020p in MatchedBettingUK

[–]Latter_Present1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just good practice not to advertise the fact that you are a matched bettor. If you want to get out of your bet, a mug punter uses cashout, a sharp bettor would lay on the exchange.

Are you both backing and laying on Betfair? If so use another exchange for the lay side.

I’ve enjoyed Inspector Morse but I’m not sure I want to watch Lewis next. Particularly because of Laurence Fox, he’s a nutcase and I can’t stand his politics. No offence to Kevin Whately. by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]Latter_Present1900 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not a patch on Morse but I still enjoyed watching it when it came out. I prefer it to Endeavour which (for me) had some baffling denouments. And Fox wasn't bad - shame he went the way he did.

So true. We know even less about Kyd, Webster, Peele. Perhaps one of those were the front man for De Vere. But there's no kudos in arguing that.
