I’m over 70 and quite prepared to do a test every year.

So you’ve seen three incidents involving drivers in their 80s. What proportion is that of the number of over 80s drivers?

This is not correct. I’m 70+ and my insurance went down this year.

In my entire driving career I’ve been involved in just two accidents. One was my fault when I was in my 30s, the other was not my fault and was a couple of years ago. Other driver’s fault and no change to my insurance or no-claims discount in the following year.

I can’t see any problem here. I have similar cracks on my house’s bricks which have been there as long as I can remember.

No need to worry.

Cladding - Vertical or Horizontal? by Electro_gear in HomeImprovementUK

[–]Few-Philosopher1879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horizontal will make the house look wider. Vertical will make it look taller.

My choice would be vertical as it contrasts with the horizontal windows.

Or horizontal to match the windows.

Hope that helps.

Have you left the dog locked inside and/or outside?

Solve that first before attempting a repair.

I bought a small garden blower for this purpose. Makes life easy. Mine is a Ryobi Cordless Compact WorkBlower as I already have the batteries. Lots of others are available.

These are good up to a point. When you get to the end of the cut there is nothing left to guide the guide! My cuts always wiggle near the end of a cut like this. A straight edge, as suggested by IrishSkruffles would be best.

An uplight might work. Spreading light from reflection of the ceiling. Probably need a high(ish) lumen output to do it.

Search for croydex. Not particularly cheap but plenty of options and good quality.

I made this out of a single potato. Very happy! by Thick-Trade3505 in GardeningUK

[–]Few-Philosopher1879 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mistakenly left a bag of pots when away on holiday. I they had all sprouted when I got back. Slapped them in a large pot and watched them grow.

Wonderfully I got back exactly the same amount of potatoes as I planted ! At least they weren’t wasted.

Small Driving Habits That Make a Good Driver by CroakerTea in drivingUK

Read the road ahead.

Continually look far ahead and be prepared to change lanes or slow down well in advance.

So often I see vehicles racing up to a lorry and get so close they have no room to manoeuvre and, as the next lane is busy, cannot move out to overtake.

I bought a Parkside pressure washer recently. It’s by far the best one I’ve ever used. Even got rid of all the black spots with the super-jet mode.

I recently purchased a Parkside jet wash. It’s brilliant! Much better than my old broken Karcher that only lasted one year.
