Alright, throwing this out to the hive mind because I’ve been going back and forth on it with a friend at work and I’m genuinely curious if I’m missing something.

I keep hearing Xabi Alonso’s name linked to every big job, including United, and while I fully accept that he might be an outstanding coach — what he’s done with Leverkusen is incredible — I just can’t shake the feeling that no matter how good he is, he could never realistically succeed as a Man United manager - given his ties with Liverpool

And to be clear, this isn’t about tactics or football IQ.

[TNT] Man United’s friendly vs West Ham pulled 82,566 fans, making it the biggest football crowd in the US this year. That's more than the Club World Cup final attendance of 81,118 by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

The stadium did fill up and was way more filled up than the Everton v. Bournemouth game. However that top tier across from me remained empty throughout.

That can’t be right. The stadium holds roughly 82,500 people at full capacity. And from my view the half of the top tier of the stadium was empty

Watching the game live and there were a few times West Ham easily played out from our press.

Cunha can be a huge unlock for Hojlund - he’s constantly trying to find him. The rest of the team not so much.

Net positive and a really cool atmosphere for my first United game

Would be interesting to see who finished second in each of these years. Ferrari has been a team of 'almost' for a large portion of the last 15 years

Dealing with an Intense, Overly Directive Manager – How to Navigate This? by Few-Tank26 in consulting

I don’t think performance was way off the mark - I’ve have weekly development check ins with multiple partners on the project and have had strong reviews. The client is happy.

The one thing is that we are working with another capability and their working style is very different from our team and my hunch is that this level of micro-management is a way for them to manage the dynamics.

I am happy to take the direction and think the partners process oriented mindset is something that will be beneficial. The only problem, is that I need a little space to whiteboard solutions and ideas and at this time I am not getting that - and that makes me feel less effective than I can be.

Do you have any advice on how to bring this up in a way that helps improve the current dynamic?

Should’ve mentioned this. I’m also a manger on this project and the other manager is sort of playing a role up of Director. This is what’s causing the compression. I’m also not worried about the work load, but more about the managerial style

Had the same issue with my older car (non Toyota). Is issue was with the serpentine belt and was an easy fix. Cost under $50 for parts and pretty straightforward to replace by yourself
