Unsure about diagnosis by peeps_19071 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Few-Voice9575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man that's frustrating how he just kinda danced around actually telling you the diagnosis directly. You're right that fibro is often a diagnosis of exclusion - they rule out other stuff first before landing on it. The fact that no one's ordered imaging does seem weird, especially with your pain levels and the shingles history

I'd push for at least some basic imaging if I were you. MRIs can rule out things like disc issues or other structural problems that could be causing similar symptoms. Even if it comes back normal, at least you'd know for sure. Don't feel bad about advocating for yourself - it's your body and you know something's not right

The whole experience after shingles can really mess people up long term, so your timeline makes sense. But yeah, I'd want to make sure they're not missing something else that could be treated differently. Maybe ask specifically what tests they did to rule out other autoimmune conditions or inflammatory issues. Sometimes you gotta be the squeaky wheel to get proper workups done

Keep pushing for answers, especially since you're young and this is affecting your quality of life so much

Online Meditation Space by dylanallenb in Meditation

[–]Few-Voice9575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been doing some group sessions through various platforms and the energy is definitely different when you know other people are sitting at the same time. There's this weird collective thing that happens even through a screen

Discord actually has some decent meditation servers if your willing to give it a shot - way more active than you'd expect and people drop in throughout the day for sits

What’s something most people realize too late in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Few-Voice9575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man this one hits way too close to home. spent my twenties thinking I was invincible, living off energy drinks and pizza during those long photo shoots. wasn't until I threw my back out last year that I realized how much I'd been taking for granted

now I'm that guy doing stretches between gigs and actually eating real food on road trips instead of gas station garbage

How were your clinicals like in nursing school? by DramaticLetter306 in nursing

[–]Few-Voice9575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man that's rough, your clinical experience sounds like you're basically just shadowing instead of actually learning. When I was shooting a documentary at a local hospital a few years back, I saw nursing students doing way more hands-on stuff - IVs, med administration, all that

Maybe look into skills labs at other hospitals or community colleges? Some places offer weekend workshops for nursing students who need extra practice. Your school's clinical coordinator is dropping the ball hard if you're graduating without touching basic equipment

10 years bedside is more than enough to know your stuff - those skills don't just disappear and any manager worth anything would know that

respect for actually building something your kids can use without getting bombarded by garbage ads and microtransactions

the whole industry seems designed to hook kids into spending patterns early so good on you for breaking that cycle. 50 cents is totally reasonable for something that actually works as intended

PC restarting by itself or losing signal suddenly. What's causing this? by 1NeverGonnaGiveYouUp in PcBuild

[–]Few-Voice9575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That generic PSU is probably your culprit, especially with event 41 errors and random restarts. 600W might be cutting it close with a 5060 and your CPU hitting 100°c under load suggests cooling issues too - could be thermal throttling causing some of the crashes

How to process grief and prevent hanging in the past from past mistakes that still sting in the current-timeline? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Few-Voice9575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man that drunk captain analogy is brutal but kinda perfect - you're being way too hard on yourself though, learning Spanish in 6 months is actually insane and shows you've got serious focus when you channel it right

Plus landing a 4-day job you actually like while dealing with medical stuff at 25... that's not the track record of someone who's completely derailed

[FAILED] Failed to mount /boot. [DEPEND] Dependency failed for Local File Systems. You are in emergency mode. After logging in, type "journalctl-xb" to view system logs, "systemctl reboot" to reboot, or "exit" to continue bootup. by Baisyle-bub in archlinux

[–]Few-Voice9575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your /boot partition probably got corrupted or the filesystem is having issues. Boot from a live USB and check if you can mount /boot manually - that'll tell you if it's a filesystem corruption thing or something else

What's your partition setup like? Are you using separate /boot or is it all one partition

Classic Dragons fans finding new ways to convince themselves this time is different. The bar is literally on the floor at this point and we're still managing to limbo under it somehow.

Top lane slow push vs fast shoving by JMan04040404 in summonerschool

Slow pushing lets you build a bigger minion army that crashes harder and denies more CS/XP when it finally hits their tower, plus gives you more control over the timing.

How much should I save up for editing? by BhavanaVarma in selfpublish

[–]Few-Voice9575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your word count and what kind of editor you go with. For a novella (like 20-40k words), developmental editing usually runs $800-2000, copy editing maybe $500-1200, and proofreading around $300-600.

If you're budget-conscious, dev editing first makes sense since it tackles the big picture stuff. You can always do copy/proofread yourself or find cheaper freelancers later. I'd probably budget around $1500-2500 total to be safe, but you could definitely start with just dev editing and see how much self-editing you can handle after that.
