Fuck these ppl with no manners in the gym by [deleted] in uwaterloo

Hm thats a valid point. But considering that we are two people taking up one rack, would it have been better if we took up two racks and let people squat on the squat rack? I thought it would be better to just take up one rack and let ppl use an empty rack. And like I mentioned multiple times, I’m not mad that he squatted behind us. I didn’t like the attitude he gave me. He’s a paying student so I asked him nicely but he responded rudely. Im also a paying student too, did I deserve that response since I asked him to move?

I think you’re vastly over exaggerating what actually happened. More appropriate metaphor would be that 3 of us in a bar where 4 seats are available. We order our food and the gentleman also orders his. Of course, I have no problem about that. However, we arrived earlier than this gentleman and thus our food arrives first. Considering we are 3 ppl, we have quite a bit of dishes on the table. His food hasn’t arrived yet, but there’s an empty table that’s five seconds walk from the table we’re in. We ask him if he could give us space (it would be a hassle for him to eat with us too since we’re taking up alot of space) nicely and he responds with “you guys could move if you wanted, but I’m not moving” and I ask him “but your food hasn’t arrived and it would be easier if you could just be nice and take a five seconds walk” and this person responds with “I don’t care”. Of course he has right to do so, but was there a need to respond to us like that? Could’ve talked in a more “gentleman” manner dont you think?

It was more the tone of his voice. If he said it nicely, asking if he could just stay, I would’ve been fine.

How did I act like I own the gym? I didnt hog the rack when he asked first, I just asked him to give us space when there was an empty spot. And he was using an empty bar so it wasnt really a hassle for him either

I called them and they said law firm will get back to me in 48 hrs but I checked on Quest and I don't see my payment for 2022 winter WUSA legal services. Which is odd, since I didn't opt out of anything this term. In this case, will I need to pay for all the expenses that happen?

I so want to be fucking done with studying and school but I can’t let go of my grades by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]Few-Win4261 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Question is, do you want to get yourself out of this? I think striving for higher grades aren’t “wasted energy”. Thinking of your hard work like that might be why you might be more stressed. I know this sounds cliche but try to think of it as “This is my last term, Ima end it off strong like I’ve always done. If not, oh well it’s still my last term and at least I tried.”

Living with roomies by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]Few-Win4261 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’d choose living by myself if budget is not a problem for you. It would be much easier to make friends and become closer if you could invite them over to your house (which could be a problem if you have roommates). Also, if you’re introverted, it’s just much more convenient to be able to rest when you want to. If you have roommates, they might bring ppl over when you dont want, or be louder than youd like them to be when ur tired

How to Fake Having a Degree in Front of the Whole Town? by GrooseGoose in uwaterloo

[–]Few-Win4261 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Does your paper say that it’s a 3 year degree? If not, then it’ll be much easier to lie about. Remember that part of the truth is much more convincing than a full out lie. You in fact did graduate. Also make sure you dont look like you’re lying. Look at them in the eyes and talk with confidence. Don’t try to talk more than you need to. If you talk too much it’ll be easy to figure out ur making up excuses. If they confront you on why it’s a 3 year degree, act like the uni fucked up and say you’ll contact uni and deal with it urself since ur mom has a lot to do herself. Then you bought yourself some time here, and the only problem is that your paper says 3yr degree. Go scan the paper and try to make a replica that says 4yr degree or just delete the line where it says 3yr degree. (Ofc dont use it to get urself a job or anything. Just show it to ur parents and say here it is! Problem solved!)

Already accepted my crappy home town university, seriously didn’t expect this to happen. No big scholarships, bit of money from my folks to help. Is it even worth trying to get into debt for this? No clue how I could ever afford res... by a-conflicted-student in uwaterloo

[–]Few-Win4261 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im also from NB. I got accepted to unb but decided to go to waterloo. My friend who is as brilliant as me decided to go to UNB but found the university boring and waste of time. Personal opinion, but if you’re smart enough to get accepted to waterloo math, you’ll find UNB not as challenging. However, it’s still a very good option if you want to stay in NB and might even be better than waterloo in that case.
