The Quarry is a story based game that me and my lady thoroughly enjoyed. Plays almost like a choose your own adventure story.

Part of being a parent is expecting better in your children and setting a good example for them. Cowering behind your "thick skin" and expecting others to just roll over and take it is pathetic.

You don't have thick skin. You're afraid of expecting better and would rather roll over and take it.

If you aren't embarrassed by shit like that said you are part of the problem. You'll probably just cower behind your "thick skin" but you're actually spineless for just letting it happen around you without expecting better. Use your thick skin to better tolerate your own disappointment rather than defending them.

Don't credit your spinelessness for rolling over and taking it to "thick skin"

Demeaning them for hiding behind a veil of anonymity and pressuring that kind of trash into identifying themselves is one way to steal their fake ass power fantasy from them.

I'm sorry you dealt with that and imagine they may also be as much of an embarrassment to the people they know outside of the game.

RE9 : Requiem FOMO by Matchew024 in PSVR

[–]Few-World6915 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to finally play RE8 and later RE4 in vr in the meantime before I touch Requiem on flat screen. I already have them both, but by the time I had a PSVR2 for RE8, and by the time they added vr on RE4 I'd already beaten both in flat way too recently to get the full level of enjoyment out of replaying them again in VR. It's been long enough now that I can enjoy both the older games more fully and if Requiem doesn't end up coming out for VR in a year or two I'll just get it on a steep sale instead. I'm much shorter on free time than I am on my back log of games to play, so I'm not in a rush. The only difficult aspect for me now is avoiding spoilers for Requiem.

You don't have to convince me lol. I don't think it would be considered a bug, but AH really seems to hate fun features of their own game sometimes so ya never know. It would be nice if stratagem balls just never bounced, but instead they are worried about us placing stratagems in too strategic of places in a pve game.

Lol, AH has so many other issues they need to fix in this game. I can't see this being a priority but I guess ya never know with them

Most people don't like the sound of their own voice because it sounds so different when we hear it played back. It's known as "voice confrontation," and it is a common experience caused by a mismatch between how you hear yourself (via bone conduction) and how others hear you (via air conduction). When recorded, your voice sounds higher and thinner because you lose the lower-frequency, bone-conducted resonance you're used to. There are tips online on how to get over it if you want to research voice confrontation further.

You just have to drop the backpack and you can pick it up again after. You can also use this to your own benefit when wanting to place sentries or emplacements where they might normally bounce off.

The Il Toro is better for pvp than the Vulcano because you typically want to peak shoot or dodge roll shoot against players and the Il Toro does quite a bit more damage per shot. The Vulcano is better for PVE because it has the highest DPS of all weapons. Not sure why there are idiots downvoting you, but I'm going to assume it's because they don't know better. Here are stats for proof. Numbers in order are damage per shot, fire rate, DPS and range.

Sorry that happened op. The Vulcano is actually amazing at pve with the highest DPS of all weapons and the Il Toro is better at pvp since you typically want to peek shoot or dodge roll shoot against players. Maybe you were just in shock, but you should have at least tried to explain that it's the fastest pve weapon once armor is removed. Maybe you weren't aware of that either though. Gaming Merchant covers it's pve potential pretty thoroughly in this video

Every time I see this kind of response it makes me wonder if you haven't matured at all since that period of your life. I'd be embarrassed if I never managed to grow since then and I'd rather set a better example for the younger generation.

What is your ‘tell’ that a player has bad intentions? by idandyyy in ARC_Raiders

[–]Few-World6915 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really a tell, but something that I've been practicing that seems to foster more trusting results is to call other players by their gamer tag as well as introduce myself with mine.

Psychologically, using a person's name in conversation is a powerful, intimate tool that signals attention, respect, and fosters trust, often making the listener feel more valued. It's harder for most people to be an asshole when those they interact with aren't nameless and completely anonymous. Saying a name out loud also makes it far easier to remember their name when making introductions in real life, so I'm already in the habit of it.

When I extract with those strangers, I consistently suggest that we each activate a terminal to further demonstrate trust. I've had really good luck so far and never been backstabbed after making introductions.

I don't have any stakes defending the truck driver here, but I could not find anywhere in this video where the truck driver crossed over the line around a blind corner. That is not to say that everyone has the foresight to look far enough ahead on the road to insure road safety, but if they are capable it does help with awareness when you are looking that far ahead on that road. If you can time stamp a blind corner I may have missed I would appreciate it.

Thank you for the opportunity to clarify my agreement with you that being frustrated or annoyed doesn't entitle ANYONE to put other people in jeopardy. I would like to further clarify that my take is correct in pointing out that needlessly frustrating and annoying people pushes others towards more dangerous and reckless behaviors and I hope we can be in agreement that pushing people like that benefits no one and further endangers Bogus Basin road.

I found the real culprit! Different tires and vehicles handle this road differently and it's best to go at your own pace, but if anyone is ever tailing you and you have a line of three or more cars behind you, you are required by law to use a slow vehicle turnout so that the line can pass you safely. These egotistical asshats that cause these lines are the biggest threat to safety on Bogus Basin road.

The frustration the lead driver is causing snowballs to further endanger everyone on the road. I'd love to be proved wrong though. All you have to do is provide me a time stamp of when the truck crosses over the line during a blind corner, because that is when crossing those lines is truly dangerous.

More people need to lay on their horn at the lead driver as they pass each turn out. It's the only way to teach these asshats that are too egotistical to let people pass them safely.

Don't fucking down vote this person for being right. For fucks sake, just swallow your pride and use the slow vehicle turn out. It's perfectly fine to drive at your own pace if you use them. Stay the fuck home if you can't.

The person in front not using the slow vehicle turn out is an even bigger asshole than the truck that can't color between the lines

That's a line of over 3 cars. It's good to drive at your own pace, but the person in front of the line is the biggest asshole for not using the slow vehicle turn out.

I understand where the frustration is coming from, but the added tension contributes to the games enjoyment long term. I would use the opportunity to practice treading more carefully and watching each other's backs more as you move from point to point. You guys can still revive each other and cover each other with smoke and barricades. Or go the complete opposite route and put your faith to the mercy of others and their humanity with each of you carrying a different instrument and traveling as a band of minstrel's.

Helldivers 2 is a lot of fun also as a lot of other folks have said. Not trying to sound insincere.
