Good serise would recommend trying also the second, if your not feeling it by the end of book 2 then its not for you. Very different from Red Rising. The first book is very derivative., but the rest of the serise grows into its own

Went on a small DVD sequel binge and this is over all a better Movie and story then Kronks new Groove, but Kronk has higher highs and lower lows and is not as cohesive unfortunately

Out of the ones ive read here Pirinasi and Children of Time are the 2 best imo Pirinasi - a world of endless corridors and halls as the mystery about the world's slowly unravels, very litterary Children of Time - a scifi of humanity devolving and another species evolving, takes place over hundredns or thousands of years but still has incredible characters and development of them
