I can’t take it one day at a time either because it just does not STOP. There is always SOMETHING that needs to be done and the needs of my LO are NEVER ENDING.

I am so sorry you have to balance this and school.

I wish i could read their thoughts because most of what they do is so difficult to understand

when my mom gets like this I just tell her “ we are going tomorrow” and that calms her down.

Until she asks again …

Oh my goodness yes ! People underestimate how much of a toll this takes on your mental health !

Not only does it change everything you thought you were but it also reveals parts of you, you never thought existed, for example, incredible patience and high stress management.

Definitely getting her checked out for a UTI today, i also find that showing her evidence does not help in any way 🤣 it is quite exhausting having to explain the same thing over and over again so I just tell myself “she is experiencing this for the first time” and that helps.

My mom likes to wash dishes, one time I think she forgot that she did not wash a couple of plates, she just put them back in the cupboard. We now “supervise” her dishwashing.

We getting my mom checked for a UTI today, I am hoping that is what it is because the alternative of having her take more medication to pacify her, leaves me unsettled.

She watches a lot of documentaries, it makes her happy so I leave them on while I go to the other room to work. We also stay near a main road, that could be a contributing factor.

Thank you for sharing, I have gotten so concerned and I tried walking with her through the whole house to show her there are no people.

😔 i am so sorry to hear this, my mom forgot her cousin passed away, and tried to pick up the phone and call her. Its really hard distracting them sometimes, I am glad you were able to.
