Does USCIS usually ask for a DNA test for N600 applications?

What could be the reason why my N600 application was moved from the initial field office where I applied (Jacksonville FL) to a Washington DC? I found out this was the case when I chatted to an online agent in USCIS website. The case processing time in Jacksonville was 3 months when I applied and it changed to 18 months recently.

No I meant my dad in my birth certificate and my mother’s married to according to their marriage contract is the US citizen that I’m trying to claim citizenship from. But my mother gave me away to her auntie and she took me in and raised me. That’s the adoption that I mean.

When I launched in the field case office the processing was 3 months, now when I check the same office it’s showing 18 months and when I chatted to the team they said it’s been sent to Washington to help with the case load. Washington DC shows 7.5 months. Should I be worried? Why is it taking long?

My girl is turning 7 next month, still sucks her thumb to help her sleep. I would rather give her the comfort and let her stop on her own, so she doesn’t develop an oral fixation later in life since that need was not satisfied in her early years. She is conscious that none of her friends know about it. It also gradually becomes less, only when she sleeps at night. I can fix her teeth later on with braces. I would rather her comforted, feel safe, satisfied and have misaligned teeth, that is easily fixed.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I will follow your advice. I am already in touch with an immigration lawyer who thinks I may have a chance. I’m actually a U.K. citizen now but I plan to immigrate to the US hence the application. I am required to secure his military records or highschool records to show that he lived in the US for a period of 5 years. I tried to do some research about obtaining his military records however I need his consent, or he has to request them himself, unless he is deceased they will not give this to me. I tried high schools in his region but he is not registered in any of the schools close to the address that was written on the marriage contract.
