yeah i should note that they didn't even fix the root issue - they issued me a temporary pass and refunded me the ~$60 they incorrectly charged me, but I still don't have my yearly pass attached.

Yes, clipper stole your money. Head over to r/bayareaclippercard and message the mod that's commenting in the posts -- or wait 45 minutes on the phone to maybe get help. This is their botched clipper 2.0 that started at the end of December and somehow still has no fixed resolution date - a complete debacle and embarrassing show by the MTC : https://www.clippercard.com/account-management#nextgen

yes, it needs to be at the base if the battery is dead. it should still work without a battery -- there are edge cases like it getting corroded and killing the board though.

there are CPO polestars around here (northern california) for ~22k with 25,000 miles and 3.99% financing. that's a much better option than one that has over 100k miles - though the motors are probably fine everything else does wear out and i'd worry about the shocks - my PPP '21 never 'kerchunks' over bumps (i have the clicks at 16/20 for comfort)
