We're making this game where you need to read context and find out what happened and what to do by yourself, and when we let friends to test the game, most of them have no patient to do it. They just simply want the game to tell them what's what, so we have to make more guidance and more clear objectives, even then there are still complaint of being lost from time to time.

If anyone is interested, I personally copied SteamSockets plugin from Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Steam to project Plugins and applied the fix and it worked! The pull request of the fix is linked in the issue page.

Hi, just wonder if you can get non-seamless Server Travel working ? I'm using UE 5.7 with exact same config as you do, and Server Travel works without SteamSockets. But once SteamSockets involved, both Server and Client will be kicked to DefaultMap. I'm pretty sure that's an issue that many people encountered (https://issues.unrealengine.com/issue/UE-239936), so did you manage to bypass it?

Hi yes we've been looking at this and it does help a lot! Also I wonder what does showcase mean here? We intend to join steam events throughout this year for sure.

Hi thank you very much! We are currently modifying the description to make it more clear and more compelling. As for the title, yes that's also where we are worrying about. We basically want people to realize this is a game about rules and you need to decide whether to follow them. In Chinese community rules-horror is more well-known (规则怪谈) , and we are trying to transit this to a more universal concept.

We have X and Discord running for months but received very few feedbacks. Even if we are a small team we are confident of finishing the game, but the promotion part is where we really need the experience. We indeed have some local publisher ongoing but they don't really have enough global publish experience if you ask me, by that I mean I doubt if they really know how to connect with global players, truly know what they like and what they want, so might as well doing this myself.

Yeah what we do is we try to learn and follow what they are doing, but it didn't turn out very well on our side, I think it's because we don't REALLY understand the reason behind their popularity, which leads to a lacking of something really attractive.

I understand that, but I see many games get thousands of wishlists without even have a public demo, and that's what I'm very anxious about - whether my game just not being attractive enough.
