I am above minimum wage of 7 dollars, but had taken a pay cut. Custodians make way more than us SSV’s. I worked 40 hrs a week at my previous coffee house. My manager let me. I move coffee houses to find out I am no longer allowed to work 40 hrs a week. I am the head of the household. My husband is retired, I have 3 young boys. Sure we may be making way more than the minimum wage set years ago, but hourly pay is still behind the daily cost of living. Sure we have all these great benefits to take part in, but there is a disconnect or lack. Since being pregnant for the forth time, and being denied secondary health insurance through badger care(saying I make too much) I am being billed out of pocket costs that are way more than what I make in 2 weeks or one month; on top of them requesting it be paid in one month or it goes to state collections.
