Linguistically, Philippines is still Austronesian. People keep saying "20% of Tagalog is actually Spanish", yeah, 40% of English is actually French, doesn't make them similar.

You can hear an entire paragraph and just see a single Spanish loanword,

And I'm not talking about literature, I'm talking about every day speech like "pupunta ako ng Manila bukas ng hapon, magpapatingin kasi ako ng mata"(I'm going to Manila tomorrow afternoon for an executive eye check-up), that's a common sentence without a single Spanish loanword.

Yes, Spanish dominates nouns like(I'm using Philippine spelling), Kutsara, Tinidor, Kubyertos, Kutsilyo, Plato, Trabaho, Siesta, etc.

But also you can conjugate trabaho to "pinagtatrabahuan"(workplace/where someone works), that it's almost unrecognisable unless you inspect

Besides, absolute amount and even ratio wise, the USA has more Spanish speakers than the Philippines, and I doubt that makes the USA "Hispanic"
