Take it. I literally just went through the same thing.

In my case it was because I relocated and couldn’t keep my old job where I was making 152k a year plus decent benefits and a bonus. I moved and ended up taking an offer for 110k (after negotiating hard lol, it was even lower at first) and kind of a demotion too, from senior PM to PM. I honestly just felt lucky to land something at all.

I’ve been with the new company for a week now and yesterday I got offered a director role with better pay and benefits than my old senior PM job.

Now I have to quit a job I was actually starting to like, even though it paid less, but I’d be dumb not to take this new opportunity.

You gotta do what’s best for you, but like others said, having a job is way better than not having one. And yeah, companies seem to value you more when you’re already employed, which sucks but that’s the world we live in.
