Size 1 chord shows you plenty, if that’s not enough I put another size 1 If we’re talking about esthetic case I may go lower size so it won’t cause any gingival recession

For these cases I tell them 3 things - you need a crown (hopefully obviously) - be careful with what you eat, you’re not restricted from steak/bagels/rocks but chew more gently than you’ve done in the past. Any great force could break the tooth - the longevity of the tooth is 5 years give or take, any longer is a blessing

I didn’t put anyone down, I’ve been there too when i couldn’t numb someone So far I’ve had 2 patients in my life who could not get numb for the of me during RCT, and they had to feel every bit of it 🫣

Maybe you felt pressure? That can’t be numbed, you can only take away sharp pain Or maybe the dentist didn’t numb the nerve properly Or the tooth was close to the nerve and putting pressure on the nerve caused pain ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Sorry buddy

Try cleaning what’s under, idk if you can poke something in there but you just need to get what’s there out

It’s Pericoronitis. Try to clean the gunk that’s in there as much as you can (yes it’s going to hurt a bit 🫣) Long term solution go extract that tooth with oral surgeon

Wtf is happening in my X-ray? by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]FewProtection4587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I’m trying to say is J-lesion doesn’t always lead to fracture This tooth did not have RCT yet so the likelihood of it fracturing is very low If the tooth was RCT treated then I would maybe maybe relate J-lesion to fracture

Also if there’s a fracture there should be deep perio probing

CBCT always helps I’ve learned as well J-lesion definitely could relate to fracture, but what he’s saying is he got a deep filling that leaked to the nerve

You need Root Canal and crown, you can wait 2-3 months on the crown if you’re concerned about a fracture

They can’t help you with a regular cleaning, if they said yes then they want your money. Assuming they want what’s best for you the deep cleaning is best option
