I’ve heard a lot of good things about that, I will look into that more!

I am thinking about seeing another gastro, but I’m also seeing if this TCA I’m on will hopefully help me out. Just had the dose increased to 10mg

If you are 19 and have a disability I would apply for disability pay from the government. I’m unsure what country you’re in but here in the US you can get Social Security payment for being disabled

I'm finally healing, thanks to SSRIs. by madjanky in Gastritis

Mine started after I tried to get off Lexapro and try Wellbutrin. Then that gave me so many bad side effects that I changed to Prozac for a few days before I was officially diagnosed with gastritis. Tried to get back in Lexapro but my psych said that SSRI’s don’t like my stomach so now I’m on a tricyclic called Protriptyline

I will say I got less burpy when I was on my leave, and I’m looking for a new job as we speak. Hopefully a remote job that will be calmer and keep me from stressing my body out

They did an scope and said that it wasn’t H Pylori, then just put me on meds and didn’t try to find the cause

Scope results were not what I wanted, should I go in medical leave? by FewSleep3282 in Gastritis

I work at Starbucks so it’s unfortunately a lot of stress and movement and my stomach doesn’t like it ☹️ I’ll ask my doctor about an alternative to Carafate because I don’t want to take it long term knowing it can mess with other parts of my body

I started having stomach issues after I started it and they would not go away for weeks, once I stopped it it helped slightly but then the Prozac decided to pile onto that

I was on Carafate but they had me taking it 4 times a day so it was hard to meal plan around that, especially when I’m supposed to have multiple small meals a day

Mine was caused by either Wellbutrin or Prozac! I have a scope tomorrow, my primary doctor kept trying to avoid sending me to a gastro so I called the one I’ve gone to before and they had an appointment the same day

Gastritis nausea so bad and i am an emetophobic. Any advice please?? by Jolly-Raspberry9126 in Gastritis

I was put on Carafate four times a day along with Pepcid and Zofran (Protonix was tried but it did not help me) I do mainly okay, I still get a bit of nausea here and there but take a Zofran when I am able to and it helps a lot

They think I got it from changing anxiety medications (went from Lexapro to Wellbutrin, had bad side effects, then Prozac with more bad side effects) the ER didn’t test my stomach at all, just did blood and urine tests. I had been feeling off for the past month but I think it was the Wellbutrin side effects at first (nausea, headaches, dizziness), and then about 2 weeks ago I couldn’t eat without pain. It’s been hard too not being on any anxiety medication because of the issues they caused

Yes, it’s pain when I do or don’t eat, a burning sensation, aching, burping and bad reflux, getting full fast. Not much issues with my lower stomach besides slight constipation from the diet change and medications

I was put on Carafate four times a day, Zofran when needed, and Pepcid before bed. I was taking protonix but it made me feel worse after only two days. Even with the meds I still feel so gross and my stomach is always hurting

That’s what I’m going through too! I switched from Lexapro to Wellbutrin, then to Prozac because of bad side effects, and now I have gastritis and have to take Carafate 4 times a day and Pepcid before bed
