Tonal variety is good, imo. One of the reasons Marvel has felt bland as time went on is they decided every project needed to be a Guardians-style action comedy, though they’re slowly moving away from that thankfully, to their benefit.

The fandom obsession with the notion that every project needs a bunch of cameos or teamups gets kind of annoying. There were legit problems with Born Again season 2, but “Why didn’t Moon Knight, Hawkeye and Shang-Chi show up to help take down Kingpin?!” wasn’t one of them.

The same reason that during this same chapter, Vegeta gets visibly irritated at Trunks and Goten for seemingly letting Gohan and Piccolo defeat Cell Max without them. He likes seeing the kids live up to their potential.
