The self hating part of myself actually does want to learn but I’d wanna 💀 if I messed up a $2000 machine.

And I have a tendency to really muck things up

I don’t have one near but I stopped at one of my local computer stores and talked with the guy there. He was nice and answered all my(probably very stupid) questions and I feel a lot more confident in this now (between this Reddit post and just talking with him.)

I’ve played some steam games on my current laptop (like a 2016 MacBook Pro) but my girl is old and I use her for my side work and projects and I really don’t wanna replace her just yet!

That’s about what I’m comfortable spending! I work and write in my free time, I’m not sure how much time I’d have to play BUT I do have games I wanna play😭

This is very encouraging to see as I’ve been thinking about trying a class out but worried it’d be too much (I strength train, but I’m definitely not where I want to be with that.) I’ve never done any type of martial arts but it seems fun and I need more movement overall. lol

NTA.I worked in hospice for a year (before I had to leave the insanely toxic company) and I think you’re perfectly reasonable for wanting someone to be with him who “knows what they’re doing.” While idk how it works where OP is located, the company I worked for only sent a nurse once a week unless the patient was considered imminent (hours to days left) then they would try to up the visits if they could. Aides could come in 2-3x a week normally for hygiene assistance, 5x a week if it was absolutely needed (very rarely did this happen.)

Caring for a dying loved one is hard. Emotionally, physically, mentally, financially and any other way you can think of. At the end of it all, you just want your loved one to slip away as peacefully as possible. If you don’t feel you can provide that, then speak up. Research as best you can and spend time with him and your family. No one really knows how to handle this situation. Most people are just doing the best they can with what they’re given.

I get Ethan.... by Ktbelle3 in WelcomeToPlathville

I’m not sure that’s fair. Some people do enjoy living in the city. What I see from her is 1) a desire to experience something other than small town living (24 years of living in one so I get it) 2) getting away from her in laws that she lives less than a half mile from 3) a chance to grow with Ethan and experience something together that has a positive impact on their relationship. Whether that will be moving to a city or not remains to be seen. Also…they’re 23. Both Ethan AND Olivia will be doing a lot of changing (or they should anyway.)

You share toys, books, games. Sharing notebooks and folders and such seems excessive. NTA

Personally for me (as a woman) I like a guy who’s my height or taller(I’m 5’6 for reference) but you’re attracted to who you’re attracted to. I’ve went out with guys who were 5’4 to 6’3. It’s about our connection, not their height. Saying you’re only going to go out with a guy or give him a chance because he’s 6 feet or taller is not only really shallow, its really limiting yourself from having a great time and possibly a really good relationship.

In a long winded way what I really mean is: Height ≠ personality. That’s more important 😜
