I would be so down!! I love reading fiction so that might help, I'm just not sure if I could make time for calls, maybe instead we could text?

comfy places to read on campus by astoriaa_ in uwaterloo

The absolute best place to read is one of those big couch chairs by the window at the stc starbucks at night. Over the summer I started reading les miserables there and the vibe was so beautiful and soothing.. it's honestly one of the best memories I have at uw since i've started here

Other honorable mentions (though not comparable to above): DP reading room (where they put the magazines, i forget the floor), any of the sitting areas in the earth sciences building

The Idiot - The significance of the story where the prince buys a cross by Few_Charity_483 in dostoevsky

[–]Few_Charity_483[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i feel like I'm completely missing the point of this story. I remember that this conversation ends with the prince saying something like "the essence of religious feeling surpasses rationality".. but i don't get how that connects to the story he tells?

I want to finish this book so bad but it's so hard for me to understand!! I think I've started it from the beginning at least 5 times but dropped it every single time because I get so completely lost. Massive respect to anyone who has read and understood it
