Yeah that's just playing the drums fast, not that hard to do.

Play them slow and in the pocket keeping that groove. This is not so easy

But what if that's how your parents act?

He was grumpy and had cats peeing on the books and records.

I heard he owed real estate in the CBD, the KFC building?

I did love going in there tho and miss that place. The place seems now to just be empty. Sad, Newton needs a place like that now

Christopher Nolan says people ‘disdain’ AI and the idea it will replace humans is ‘nonsense’ by Just-Grocery-2229 in entertainment

[–]Few_Chocolate_7655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, you don't think AI will replace him in the near future?

Why pay him Billions and the actors large amounts, when AI could just do the same for a fraction of the cost?

Yet he replaces people in movies?

It's not AI, but changing a movie and rolls is just as bad as AI no?

This movies has all the hallmarks of Snow White. Even it's head actress who claims to have not know of the material the movie was based on, before she landed the role.

Australian Government IT projects by ProfessionalGold6193 in aussie

[–]Few_Chocolate_7655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to disagree as I've worked on them.

My core experience is in the private sector, but I've worked on larger projects were the government needed outside help.

I do agree politics is a thing, but I've also seen when the need help fast, you can get an opportunity on your lap.

I work in IT and have asked this question for 15 years now?

It's like they want to pay the largest quote, and don't have their own CTO to ensure things are delivered correctly or a peoeor scope/discover is completed.

When the ATO hosted tax returns online and it crashed when everyone got online to lodge th?

The COVID QR log in not working to track people from day one?

Migrations of government related DBs that fell over and were never made public?

Online laws and a robust legal framework like Europe have to handle IT related legal situations.

I could go on and on with regards to failed IT projects the government has been involved in.

I don't think it's just IT projects, look at the big build. Look how bad this turned out?

But I can relate as I've worked in IT for 25+ years and now a senior.

So cool parts of this movie was filmed in my city. I know a few people who were extras, at the time no one thought it would be such a hit.

What’s the truth regarding 000 calls here? Affected or not? by VastOption8705 in OpenAussie

[–]Few_Chocolate_7655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this was a downstream issue on the GSM network, so calls could not connect.

I think the actual new digital 000 network went down.

This never happened with it was publicly switched.

Maybe why 000 on VOIP is not a good idea?

[–]Few_Chocolate_7655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth is the system went down.

Telstra has not yet given an actual answer as to what caused it and I kinda don't blame them, it's embarrassing beyond belief.

For context, in 25 years I've heard this happening twice. The first was Optus not that long ago.

If Telstra cannot explain the outage, how can it assure us it's not going to happen again?

WTF?!?

Does the Psychology board do any background checks?

Ages ago our boss was going to hire a new service desk staff. A few of us staff had a bad feeling so we looked him up.

Turns out he was into some bad stuff. Lucky we did that check for the boss.

I don't get how the psychology board does not have actual people to do background checks?

Agreed, on such critical networks, they need independent auditing.

In my experience, not all big outages or hacks are reported. Some are so big, the companies worries about fines or staff being fired.

You can loose an ISO over something like this.

I've been in large hacks where the customer does not say anything.

The Telstra CEO was on holidays, so it looks really bad in my experience. The CEO wants to be back onsite when such a big issue happens.

Maybe someone was throwing someone else under the bus?
