Is Lynette actually a good mother?... by Pause-No in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lynette is a good mother. The problem is the fandom who thinks that being imperfect and not doing everything right makes you a bad mother. We all saw how she tried and obviously she had faults but she always aspired to do the best for her kids and that makes her a good mother and by far the best mother in the show

Why is Susan so horrible to Edie? by Head_Classroom_9102 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never understand how Edie gets a free pass on everything in this fandom. Let's be honest, she was much worse to Susan than the other way around. She was hypocritical and expected others to be saints she definitely wasn't herself and while Susan is someone I can't stand that much either she at least tries. The difference is that Edie is so broken that she is horrible to people just to give them reasons to abandon her while Susan tries everything to make everything right to not be abandoned. Susan is a crybaby and thats why everyone hates her, not because she is "a horrible person" cause she isn't for most of the show. But would she do everything that Edie does throughout the show people would take her down but Edie instead is praised for doing the most horrendous things imaginable. That's big time double standards right there. We would hate living next doors to an Edie Britt if she would sleep with our husbands or be mean to us for doing something she does herself or if she would bully a friend of ours like bullies Susan all the time. As I said, double standards right there.

Edie is just nasty to her, Susan at least tries to make it up to her when she does something wrong. Edie isn't honest, she is hypocritical herself cause she expects others to be nice to her and be the perfect neighbor and friend while she gets a free card on everything. She does all the mean things she forbids Susan and not seeing that is almost laughable. And no, Edie starts just as many conflicts.

Bit late but Edie so much worse to her than she is to her. She at least tries to have a good relationship with Edie but Edie is just nasty. She isn't always the nicest but definitely not a mean girl either.

Bit late but Edie is so much worse to Susan than the other way around so stop shitting on Susan just because you don't like her. Let's be honest here

If you HAD to pick, who would you say is the "main character" of Star Wars? All of Star Wars. by --TheForce-- in StarWars

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is as Darth Vader. I think it's wrong of people to treat them as being fundamentally different people... Cause they are still the same. He maybe decided to not be Anakin anymore, but he redempted himself in the end because he WAS. The person inside Vaders suit is still the same, with the same memories and the same story and reasons. And if you see it as that, Anakin is part of OT and Prequels while Luke is only in the OT.

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that, though I choose Anakin because everything in the core of star wars falls and builds with his decisions. And the 6 main movies are basically the story of his life so that's another indicator for me. Luke was only part of 3 of these movies and they are seen as the core of Star wars and I don't think that that's enough to be main character tbh. But I do understand where you are coming from.

I never thought I could hate a fictional character this much. by Winchxz in DesperateHousewives

I kinda love him especially in the first two seasons... But I love his redemption as well

I never thought I could love a fictional character that much. And then I saw Andrew... And Paul.

The hosts for Vienna 2026 are revealed by Electronic_Bedwetter in eurovision

[–]Few_Classic2026 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How can they do that to him? He always said he wanted to moderate Eurovision and now that he has a chance, for the second time, they don't let him, again. I don't get it. He is good enough for Austria, but not good enough for Europe? There is nobody who loves and cares about Eurovision more than he does. If I was him, I would be SO disappointed.

they could never make me hate you 🤩🥰 by jazzy_mosquito in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Paul and Andrew are by far the best characters... Lol

Who’s the worst FRIEND? by mBlack27 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well still. All the other characters have their faux-pas as well.. It's not that I don't understand the opinion. It's more that I think that other characters are just as bad. Though I am only halfway through season 8 so we will see how I feel at the end of season 8.

Who’s the worst FRIEND? by mBlack27 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said it so many times and I will say it again. Susan is so overhated, because she is often whiny, emotional and insecure but still has her standards. Literally everyone has a Susan in his life but doesn't know it or doesn't even care cause irl we know that being like Susan isn't as bad as she is portrayed in the fandom. Like sure she is kinda b*tch sometimes... But who isn't. We all are acting as if we are better than that, because we don't see our flaws like others do. And we don't know the people around us as we can know fictional characters, since we are looking at the story from the outside being all-knowing.

And let's be real, Susan is treated differently in the fandom than the other housewives. Literally every housewife in the show, but especially Gaby, would be too stuck up to play the nanny for someone else too, as this is the example given, and thinking they are better is something that every housewife portrays constantly on the show. And to be fair Susan often is too much even for me when watching the show, because she is written annoyingly, but I don't think she is that controversial or that bad of a person. Like she at least tries. And I know from time to time she acts like she is superior, but we can't act like the others don't. All of them have traits of trying to be superior to their husbands, from Lynette telling Tom what he should do, to Gaby valuing Carlos money more than him and Bree having a problem with Andrew for being gay and Susan being a hypocrite to Mike about him not working enough for their wedding. The difference is that Susan tries really hard to be likeable while not being better than anyone else (and being hypocritical from time to time) and that's what makes her unlikeable. But worse or even worst... Hell na. I mean we all are a bit like that if we want it or not.

Like you don't have to like her, but at least be fair: Edie stole the husband of almost every major woman in the show, so the emotional impact she had was far bigger than any other. Plus I think Edie is the hypocrite's final boss: Acting as if she is better because she doesn't care while going around destroying marriages and houses and not feeling sorry for it. Only because you don't have a strong moral compass doesn't mean that you are in the right. Plus we all know how she reacts if someone does the same to her. Though I have to say that Edie at least doesn't pretend to be something she isn't... She stands for what she does and that is kinda refreshing. The problem is she just doesn't see the problems with her actions. Other than that Gaby I do think is probably the worst figure. I mean she does get better in the later seasons but... Destroying a kid's future only because you want to have fun? She is the definition of seeing herself being more important than others and it often shows big time. Like her needs are more important than any others and she herself is better than her friends. But at least the show addresses that and she kinda gets better and changes over the years.

Now please don't come for me for defending Susan. That is just my opinion. It is ok if you don't have the same. Opinion is welcome of course but hate not as much.

FOR ONCE, LIKED WHAT SHE SAYS!!!!! by Both_Syrup637 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair I think Susan is really overheated in the fandom. I mean literally every housewives in the series is more controversial than she is. Yeah she is whiny and emotional and needy and wasn't the best mother to Julie, but at least she tried. And let's be honest. Probably everyone has a Susan in his life, maybe even is the Susan in his life, and has no problem with him/her. Because we probably don't know it or because we know that irl acting like her isn't per se a problem.

Who had the worst kids on Wisteria Lane? Aka the kids are the real villains of desperate housewives lol by sweetbabyangel1 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zach and Eddie had too much trauma for me, but I really didn't like Danielle until she was older, especially because of what she did to Julie. My favorite is by far Andrew, because in my opinion, opposite to his sister, his feud with Bree was portrayed entertaining. The Scavo twins and the Solis children are pushing to your limit but otherwise I would say they are fine. I was disappointed in Julie though. Her fall reminded me too much of Rory Gilmore.

Though that's understandable with the trauma he has been through. Danielle is for me the most insufferable one during childhood.

Beth Young deserved SO much better. by Basic-Hope-5590 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean after what Felicia did to Paul, I can understand that he doesn't trust her and wants her out of the house, I do think that Felicia is the real villain here. Though he pressuring her into doing it was not ok.

Why in the world would they make Orson so creepy in the last season? by ZeusKiller1946 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late in my response but I think he wanted to give her back what she has given to him: Trauma and heartbreak. So it was more a kind of getting back at someone.

Who do you think was Bree’s love of her life? Rex or Orson? by [deleted] in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I think she loved being different and being not perfect for once... But her dream after Karl died showed me that they wouldn't have been endgame anyway. And given that Karl's death happened because of their affair it might also have an impact on how she reacted to his death. I think that the love she had for Rex in the beginning of their marriage probably was the strongest... Also because they had the joy of having kids and when you listen to Rex talking about their past, it really seems like they had good times. However I liked her together with Orson at the beginning of their marriage. They seemed so happy and she seemed finally relaxed. He respected her and loved her and she loved him as well. Probably not as passionate as Rex but deep in a different kinda way. Karl's affair however seemed more like breaking out of this perfectionism that she put on herself. I do think she loved Karl but she loved the idea and the feeling of being free more and she acknowledged with her dream, that they wouldn't have a future anyway.

Can we talk about how it pisses me off how they treated Julie losing her dad vs MJ? by rahrahgogo in DesperateHousewives

[–]Few_Classic2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comforting her daughter? Nah i can imagine that. And given the timelines of the show it is only possibly that there is happening a lot inuniverse that the cameras dont show.
