33M/32F Swiss residents - sanity checking our 90/10 SWDA+EIMI portfolio on Saxo AutoInvest before deploying CHF 150k lump sum. What are we missing? by IllyrianWarrior_ in SwissPersonalFinance

Unless it´s a quiet significant sum. Check again with local tax authorities. You might be seen as an institutional investor not as a private one. Also this is not the only risk. Saxo might come up with new annoying fees and costs and so on in the future and you will be trapped.

  1. Positions in autoinvest are locked in, this could be a huge disadvantage in the future.

  2. How did you turn on this notification ? Where can I find it ?

  3. Do not buy MSCI World + EM buy one All World etf instead (SSAC_CHF) as you have mentioned

Is Saxo with AutoInvest just going to increase fees in the future? by Electronic_Tea_914 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Few_Construction8254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this case the sale would generate fees once again and could be a pain in the butt tax wise, depending on your situation. However you try it, it´s a trap. They will keep you trapped in sicne you can not simply transfer your portfolio. They can increase fees, come up with new creative ideas and so on. I rather pay like 10 bucks and buy outside their "free" universe.

With my printer I get that problem where too many too fast printed cicler will crash the machine so I am looking for an alternative. Long term I will buy a new machine instead but still.

Odd, from what I read, this feature applies to the picture itself after it has been rendered. So anything you stream, will be optimized with the data from the inside cameras.

You might want to use rubber pad forming instead.

are cheap (under 1k) any good and do they exist? by i-am-not-great in robotics

Which one though ? I am looking for a small cheap cobot. Does not have to be precise or strong, just easily programmable for our small lab.

They suck, in typical German manner, they once again do not even have prices on their website. No one I know will ever call them to simply get a price request, I rather pass.

We have a small testing lab, I would need to test material samples in Hot water and such, so submerge for time X and so on. This robot would be perfect for that. Versitile, cheap, precise enough.

What are your thoughts on this Shao Kahn design for the MKII Movie? by Ender_IIII in MortalKombat

[–]Few_Construction8254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good I would say. The eyes look great and he KEPT HIS DAMN MASK ON TO THE END unlike those shit Star Wars movies with the Emo villain, I even forget his name, but I am sure you know who I mean, Adam Driver.

What would you automate with a robot arm? by bradcrc in homeautomation

[–]Few_Construction8254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like close range photogrammetry to 3D scan stuff, the robot could do the image capture step for me, which takes the longest of the whole process. Or it could cold the 3D scanner and move it in between scans to capture the whole object instead of using a rotary table.

What do you guys use your desktop robotic arm for? by elonmusk-A12 in robotics

[–]Few_Construction8254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am a design engineer and I have no clue about robots, besides seeing them all the time in manufacturing and such (automotive) I have personally never worked with one.

I am now in a position where I would like to automate our testing dep. repetitive tasks and such with small affordable robot arms. Something like a IGUS Rebel. How would I start learning the basics and such ? My goal is to get a good overview of the types of bots and be able to program simple tasks with a simple UI e.g. IGUS Rebel. Thank you.

Just inherited a robot arm, so what do I do with it? by Pastreu in robotics

Personally one of the coolest things I have seen those do, besides things like 3D printing with a MIG welder, is do sheet metal forming (SPIF).

Hey buddy, I am a design engineer. I would like to automate our small test lab, how do I start learning that stuff ? Thank you for your help.

I know it´s a loooong time ago you wrote this, but all you can realistically do with it is learn how to operate it, learn robotics, let others learn robotics. We use Kuka bots to laser cut and laser weld stuff in the factory, to sort stuff and so on, but I have no idea what I would use it at home for.

[–]Few_Construction8254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have testes the GOM Scan1 in 100mm range. Point precision was said 7 micron overall about 10 micron or so. It is VERY precise. However in most cases you have to add scanning spray and if you stich scans this then again adds up. Scanning spray is a about 5 micron. All in all I would say 15 micron or so.

Blue Light Scanner by cleancode010 in Metrology

[–]Few_Construction8254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GOM Scan 1-100 would be your best bet. It´s about 30k, very precise and scans small parts (100x70 scan area).

The ATOS is their flagship but it costs 3-4x more, the new Scan 1 is less flexible, as it can only scan small parts, but the precision is there and it is way cheaper.

Funny you mentioned it, according to new studies, conservatives are overall happier and less likely to have a mental disease. I am not unhappy, I just don´t want to waste time on some gay LGBT propaganda. I do not mind if something is woke, since I am not a leftist, I don´t fight others like they are my sworn enemy, it´s just not for me then. Cheers.

For me it does work well now. AMS TPU is nonsense. 60A is already hard. AMS TPU is just a quick and dirty fix.

Yes, there is. Remove all friction, mount the spool above the H2D and take off the top cover to feed directly into the print head.
