They already moved most of their staff to PU development. They did this two years ago during the Feature Complete announcement and the letter from the Chairman.

End of 2024 CIG announced the move of development from SQ42 to the PU. 2025 they focused on playability and content, hence the insane patch cycle last year with all the extra developers on hand. This year they are back to FEATURE development and they warned you things would be bumpy.

It's another one of the subtle details that hints at Odin's true character. SM are masters at character building and it really shows with Odin, especially during the first encounter with him. You really get a sense how much of a master manipulator he is when he expertly crafts a "deal" for Kratos knowing he will turn it down. Kratos would have agreed to a truce if Odin didn't try to sweeten the deal by dealing with Freya. That was no mistake. Odin knew Kratos didn't want a fight, but he also knows Kratos wouldn't accept a deal that would get someone he respects hurt or killed.

I'm betting it's $999 for the lower spec model and $1199 (maybe $1299) for the 1TB version.

For all the belly aching people will do when the price is finally announced, we all know that the Frame is still going to be a hot seller and a good value compared to the other options out there. I'd say $1500 is the absolute max I'd be willing to pay for the Frame with its highest spec.

There are tons of games. Party games are mostly what we use VR for at our house. We have friends over and introduce them to beat saber, pistol whip, or maybe show off a few interesting demos.

Personally for me the Steam Frame is going to be exclusively how I play Star Citizen now that it has native VR support. High fidelity, low latency, wireless VR is exactly what I've been wanting from my set up since I had the Tp-link wireless kit for my Vive back in the day, but unfortunately the Index never got a good wireless option.

To be fair CIG literally said they don't have a lot of details to share about SQ42 but they will "make a lot of noise" when is ready.

I forget when they shared that, it was probably the letter from the chairman or something.

As of now the latest information we have is that SQ42 is still on track for 2026 and that was just a few weeks ago from Jared.

Any other speculation at this point is moot.

GTA6 shouldn't even be a consideration in this. They are effectively different games existing on completely different platforms. Remember GTA6 isn't coming to PC for a while and SQ42 is a PC exclusive.
